Below is the summing up of Mr Justice Hodge - husband of the Government Minister Margaret Hodge. It seems to me that this man - the third Administrative Court Judge who has stood between my father's murder and justice, (quoting Law - in I believe a perverted way), has either not read the documents which were in front of him, or is incapable of understanding what he reads or is tinkering with the Law (believing that he is above it) or is totally corrupt.

I am fed up with the deliberate misinterpretation of the Law of the Land, which I believe was supposedly set in place to protect the honest citizen, yet is being used in a totally perverted way, to deny that citizen the justice which the law states is his right.

My father was murdered. I have the proof of that. I have proof of who ordered that murder, who carried it out and why it was done. That proof has been put before South Yorkshire Police Force, (rubbish that they are), two Coroners (the second who I believe has never been a Coroner in England until after he formally sat at my father's 'inquest' and three High Court Judges of the Court of Administration (who appear not to be able to read.)

It is that simple. What am I supposed to do now to gain justice?

If I took a shotgun, there would be too many people to deal with, who have covered up this murder. It is also the case that I do not agree with violence. Yet what else can be hoped for? At least with a shotgun there would be a form of natural justice.

I believet that would be far less perverted than the hoped for justice, which we have found to be so unobtainable. However, there must surely be another way to find it.

I have always been a law-abiding citizen. I will not be pushed by sheer corruption, into acting against my own moral code.

Below is the Summing Up of Mr Justice Hodge, which goes totally against what he said during the Hearing. Lewis Carroll would have found much to puzzle at, in this Judge and his stupidities. But that does not help us.

SUMMING UP

This application for Judicial Review is brought by the applicant who is a daughter of Ralph Winstanley
The original inquest was set for 5th October 2005.
On 4th October 2005, the Honourable Mr Justice Sullivan refused the claimants petition for Interim Relief – as being too late an application. He stated that:

“Interim relief refused. The Assistant Deputy Coroner’s decisions are set out in the letter dated 1st August. This application was not made until 3rd October. It is far too late to seek interim relief in respect of an inquest that it due to be held on 5th October. The inquest must proceed, in accordance with the Assistant Deputy Coroner’s directions.”

“If in consequence, there is any judicially reviewable error of law, application can be made for permission to apply for judicial review to challenge the Deputy Coroner’s verdict.”

Following the inquest, the Application was renewed.

On 7th March 2006, Mr Justice Calvert Smith refused permission for Judicial Review, stating:

“Observations:
1 The decision challenged, namely to hold an inquest without a jury is now past history as the result of the late application for interim relief and its refusal by Sullivan J on 3.10.05.
2 Even if that were not so, there are no grounds for believing that that decision was unreasonable and therefore amenable to challenge by way of Judicial Review.
3 In consequence, the application, if any, should be, as set out in Sullivan J’s Order: “for permission to apply for judicial review to challenge the Deputy Coroner’s verdict”
4 This last is not meant to indicate that such an application is likely to succeed.
The situations in which a coroner must hold an inquest with a jury are set out at Section 8 (3) of the Coroners Act 1988 summarised in the Defendant’s Acknowledgement of Service.”

Permission to apply for Judicial Review was renewed. To be heard today.

Decision

1 MRS PETERS ROCK , the daughter of the deceased, appears to represent herself, with her sister MRS LINDA KIRBY.

2 MR RICHARD DAVID WINSTANLEY, son of the deceased and younger brother, intervenes. He has submitted a fair bundle of documents and a lengthy statement – basically supporting the application.

3 The Coroner is represented by MR MARK BISHOP, who has submitted a Skeleton Outline:

4 The three NHS Trusts, which had some dealings, via staff – both doctors and nurses – during the deceased’s last illness.

I have read some of the considerable bundle of papers. There is considerable background history. Mr Winstanley was a successful businessman, running an engineering business with help from his son. He retired with £1.5 million at least.

His second wife, Nina Ann Clayton, was with him for a number of years, she says. The deceased’s children doubted the length of the relationship.

There is bad blood between the children and Nina Clayton.

I am less clear, but there is some dispute over the number of years and a money dispute by members of the family.

Mr Winstanley died on 23rd April 2004 – aged 83. For the last 6 or 7 days of his life, he was given terminal care.
Mrs Peters Rock states that over 40 nurses attended him during that time, to help him. He received constant supply of drugs during his last 6 days – to ease such pain as he was in.

CORE OF CASE

Mrs Peters Rock has deep suspicion about the way in which her father died. She states that her father’s condition was nothing like as bad as the trteatment indicated it was.

She states that lies were told by the deceased’s second wife, to a number of medical staff and nurses. She appears to be persuaded that the second wife played a role in killing her father. She thinks that the medical personnel involved were in some way complicit with this.

The nurses did their work and left.
Serious allegations were made, which need to be considered with care.

Worries were raised shortly after the death of her father. She did not think he was particularly ill.
There were disputes with Her majesty’s Coroner over letters. As a result of the many communications, Mr Hooper recused himself.
Mr Paul Kelly was appointed shortly after.
The appointment is heavily challenged by Mrs Peters Rock. Effectively, she says, he is not a coroner. She says the inquest was not properly called or conducted and asks or the verdict to be quashed.

Coroners Act 1988, Section 6, states that a Coroner should act for himself.
I am satisfied that Paul Kelly was appointed on June/July 2003. He was properly Appointed and entitled to conduct the inquest.
This challenge is without merit.

Mr Bishop’s Skeleton states that even where a coroner has not been officially appointed, if he has conducted an inquest, his acts are “de facto” valid.

“The acts of [an] officer or judge may be held to be valid in law even though his own appointment is invalid andi n truth he has no legal power at all. The logic of annulling all his acts has to yield to the desirability of upholding them where he has acted in the office under general supposition of his competence to do so.”

Allegation is that the Respondent failed to communicate properly with the family in respect of the inquest.

There was some communication. I cannot quash the verdict.

I am asked to take such steps as I can to order police to investigate the circumstances in respect of the death

The Respondent states that those are matters for the Chief Constable not the Coroner.

In these proceedings the Court has no power to order an investigation of any sort.

Detective Superintendent Haworth

Detective Superintendent Haworth did give evidence at the inquest. He accepts that further investigation is not considered necessary. But there is nothing that his Court can do in any event. This application is misconcieved.

DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE NOT ALLOWED INTO INQUEST

In respect of the claim, that documentary evidence was not permitted. There is a letter of the 8th March 2006, from Dr Majumdar. That post-dates the inquest.
Re new evidence: Coroners Act 1988 – Section 13 allows the Attorney General to make application to High Court for another inquest. The Attorney General has to be persuaded and then makes the Application.

I in no sense encourage them to make such an Application.

The letter of Dr Majumdar, in no way provides conclusive evidence and would not lead to a different verdict. Than the inquest produced.

CORE CHALLENGE

Family say that the illness was not so desperate as to require care from the authorities.

They raised issues with the Coroner. He took a series of steps to deal with it.

PROFESSOR TIMOTHY ILLIDGE

In particular the medical evidence was made available to Professor Illidge, a professor of oncology at Christie’s. He was asked to look at all the evidence. He was understandably troubled. The coroner put before him as much information as he could.

He reports that found that there is no evidence to support the allegations.

“Medical care was entirely appropriate – and to a high standard throughout.”

I reviewed the evidence on which the conclusion was based.

DR DAVID J BROWN

The deceased’s GP Dr David Brown wrote a letter on 1st June 2004, about the treatment given to the patient and described the reasons. He commented on the “startlung enclosure of my Affidavit to Doncaster East PCT.

He says he treated the deceased regularly during the last months of his life. There is also a Statement, dated 16th May 2004.

He last saw the patient 7 days before his death at his Barnby Dun Surgery and noticed a marked deterioration. He was struck by the likeliness of his imminent demise. So he arrange for him to be reviewed by his partner.

DR RACHEL S SYKES

For his continuing care he referred the patient to Dr Rachel Sykes. She wrote a letter on 24th May 2004, confirming problems and stating that Dr Brown was fearful that he would die whilst Dr Brown was away. She notes that Mrs Peters Rock was questioning the treatment at the time she visited the deceased. She looked at the syringe-drivers used to treat him with various drugs.

DR SAYER

She phoned Dr Sayer for a review of the Doncaster Royal Infirmary notes. They confirmed that he was dying of cancer, whether of the oesophagus or of his chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, because of results of his endoscopy and blood tests.

Dr Sykes states – 2nd last paragraph:

“I consider this chap to be in late terminal care. It is not in his interest to give antibiotics. They would not be appropriate.”

DR GILLIAN MARY HARDING. (saw him only on 23Apr2004)

Told the Coroner, in her summary of evidence to the inquest, she said that she became involved at the request of medical persons involved in the care of the deceased.

She informed Mrs Peters Rock that the deceased was close to death.

PROFESSOR HELEN WHITWELL

She performed the post mortem, agreeing with Professor Illidge in respect of what caused the death.

“Bronchopneumonia” and “disseminated lymphatic lymphoma”

I have read her post mortem report, which shows that the deceased had lymphomas throughout his body, some of which were significant in size. It agrees with Professor Illidge that there was no improper treatment.

Having looked at the evidence, of medical practitioners at the scene and two others who confirmed what they said., the letters of Dr Majumdar and Dr James - now in evidence – who treated the deceased. Neither saw him within the week before he died.

Dr Majumdar suggested on the 8th March that his chronic lymphatic leukaemia was “responsive to treatment.”

Dr James, investigated him using endoscopy – and found no particular cancer in the bowel.

Neither had seen the deceased for some time before his death.

There is evidence from Mrs Peters Rock that her father’s state of health was not too bad. But the doctors treating him state that he was in a bad way.

The position at the inquest was that the coroner did not need a jury. A right and proper decision in the circumstances.

There was no conspiracy involving medical professionals. They cannot be criticised for treating this 83 year old gentleman in any adverse way.

I regret that the families are unable to face their lives in harmony.

My role is to decide if this inquest can be successfully challenged.

I will not give permission.

Re COSTS ORDER

There is an application from the Local Authority for a contribution to its costs.

I am not minded to make and order.

It is refused.

I feel there are various points worth noting in this summing up.

1 It is stated that in spite of the fact that the coroner might not have been properly appointed, the fact that he ran the inquest and reached a conclusion means that whether or not he was properly appointed, his decision is ‘de facto’ legal. This utterly ludicrous statement enters the world of Lewis Carroll – with a vengeance. I also feel it is an agreement that Paul Kelly had not been properly appointed.

2 It is stated that the application in respect of the ordering of a full and transparent police inquiry is misconceived, since this Court cannot deal with it. So why did no-one tell me that before? Why did no-one tell me how I could get a full police inquiry to be forced? Why has the Court system wasted my time?

3 It is stated that Dr Majumdar had not recently seen my father – not since 8th March 2004. That is just untrue. And I supplied the Judge with both written and oral evidence to that effect. Dr Majumdar saw my father, and there is documentary evidence to show that, on 5th April 2004, when he found his state of health to be OK and his chronic lymphocytic leukaemia to be “under reasonable control”. Yet within 6 days, Nina Clayton was having him rushed into hospital ‘dying’ – where he was given no treatment. In fact he had been out with Linda, who had been with him for most of that day. He was well and happy and had eaten well. He was not complaining of pain whether n his stomach, chest or anywhere else.

The only reference which the Judge has is the letter of 8th April 2006, which was written by Dr Majumdar in response to my sister’s third enquiry about my father’s state of health, when he last saw him. The last time he saw my father was 5th April 2004

4 It is stated that there is bad blood between my father’s blood relatives and Nina Clayton? Any bad blood which there was, was caused entirely by Nina Clayton. Even my brothers has always stried to get on with her, originally.

I just avoided her because she was always nasty if I was in her company. So that can hardly be called bad blood, can it? It was no more than avoidance. Doesn’t everybody tend to avoid people who are unpleasant to them?

5 It is stated that there were arguments over father’s money. Not by me there weren’t. I had never had any expectation of receiving anything from my father, whether in his will or otherwise. By ‘receiving’ I refer not only to money but also to fatherly feeling, of which he was bereft.

Nina Clayton was constantly spouting that I was after his money and stating that her own family was also his family, whilst pushing out his own blood children. This served to keep me away from him on many occasions when I might have gone to see him. He was unfailingly welcoming when I did go to see him, though Nina Clayton never was. He was welcome at my house, yet he only visited me twice in the last 21 years of his life.

6 Illidge’s testimony was entirely inaccurate and not based on the medical record as it stands, but rather on Dr Brown’s secretive GP Notes, which we have not been allowed to see. He states:

“Medical care was entirely appropriate – and to a high standard throughout.”

How does he know that? He wasn’t there. He had done no more than read retrospective back-guarding nurses’ notes and doctors’ notes. He misses the point, which was that my father did not need this ‘care’. Also that he had very bad pressure wounds, mentioned under ‘Marks of Injury’, on pages 2 and 3 in the post mortem report, which were entirely due to deficient nursing care.

Illidge’s Preliminary Report, is wildly inaccurate. I make that statement based on the factual evidence contained within the Medical and Hospital Records.

7 Brown and Sykes lied to cover their own backs, though both were aware of the two Consultants’ treatment and findings in respect of my father’s health.

8 Sayer, was not my father’s Consultant. She sent down the result of my father’s second biopsy test to Sykes on 22nd April, which showed that he had no oesophageal or stomach cancer.

9 Harding only saw my father during his last day of life, when it was pretty apparent to anybody, that he was dying – but so would anyone be dying, if they had been denied food and fluid and been kept in a drugged and unconscious state, lain flat on their back by every nurse, until they died. Especially if they were also helped on their way by the application of one (Or ten? The rest of this prescription is not accounted for) doses of Hyoscine hydrobromide – which Sayer recommended – the existence of which is now being covered up. Professor Forrest, the toxicologist did not test for its presence in my father’s blood.

10 In respect of the Judge’s comment about my belief that there was a conspiracy on the part of the medical professionals in respect of my father’s killing. I do believe that. However the conspiracy was brought into play after my father’s death, to cover up what are mainly mistakes of judgement and present a united clean face to the world - which none of these people possess. Others taking a major part in this conspiracy are the Chief Executive and Directors of the NHS Trusts and the solicitors Beachcroft Wansbroughs.No Judge worth his salt could claim to be unaware that such conspiracies to indeed exist, since they are being played out on a daily basis in Courts all over the country, which is why medical negligence Barristers do so well..

10 Professor Whitwell, could only find what was actually in evidence when she performed her post mortem. She found no sign of Oesophageal or stomach cancer. She stated that – by the time he died – he had not only the chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (put down as disseminated lymphatic lymphoma – (which is the same thing – it’s a matter of terminology) but had also fallen prey (during the last 6 drugged days?), to bronchopneumonia. That is not really so surprising, given the way he was treated.

11 The lack of vital witnesses has yet again been completely overlooked by this Judge. Whilst it could be stated that it would have cost more money to have asked Dr Majumdar, Dr James, Dr Lee, and the nurses to give evidence, my sister and I were in Court, and were willing to give evidence. Paul Kelly was fully aware of that. He had sworn Affidavits from us.

12 It was also made clear, throughout the documents nd orally, during the Hearing, that my father stated, over and over again, that he was not in any pain, so why does this Judge persist with the statement that my father was in pain?

13 Because my application failed, we are still without access to vital documents, and my application for costs was disallowed.

However, I feel that it is significant that costs were also disallowed to both Paul Kelly and North East Lincs Legal and Democratic Services and to the three NHS Trusts.

I suppose it might be felt that I should be grateful for the lack of costs awarded against me. I am not. How can I be, when there is still the absolute fact that my father was murdered in front of me? And not only that, but that it was done using the very people who we should all have confidence will be able and willing to help us?

Chief Manniken - South Yorkshire Police

MEREDYDD HUGHES HAS BEEN IN CHARGE OF SOUTH YORKSHIRE POLICE SINCE 2002. HE WAS DEPUTY CHIEF CONSTABLE AT SOUTH YORKSHIRE BEFORE HE BECAME CHIEF CONSTABLE.

So he was certainly in charge on 23rd April 2004, when my father Ralph Winstanley was being murdered by Nina Anne Clayton and her daughter, Rosemary Alice Cheesman, using the full resources of three NHS Trusts.

Two of his Police Officers were used that day as a private army against my sister and I.

Meredydd Hughes is aware of that, yet he has refused to do anything about it.

Two more of his Police Officers, whom I had called, in a desperate attempt to stop the murder, allowed vital evidence to be removed from the scene, where it was significantly altered.

They also watched as evidence was destroyed

Since that time, he has consistently refused to investigate my father’s murder. His Assistant Chief Constable, Ian Daines, informed concerned outsiders that my father’s death had been investigated. That was a lie.

My family has supplied South Yorkshire Police Force – and Meredydd Hughes personally – with a great deal of clear, unambiguous documentary evidence to show exactly what happened, why my father was murdered and who had him murdered. That is the depth to which South Yorkshire Police Force has sunk.

At the Fourth Annual Portal lecture, as honoured guest, Meredydd Hughes decided to speak on:

“South Yorkshire Police and Criminal Justice in a Changing Environment”

I believe he knows very little about Justice – and cares less. I also believe that his Police Force, working as it does, against the Law of the Land is deliberately perverting the course of justice – and taking our money to do it.

The Coroner and the Senior Police Officer in any area, can ask for a police investigation. That is what the Home Office says. Detective Superintendent, Robert Haworth, the Senior Non-Investigating officer who has been sitting on the documents which prove that my father was murdered, states:

“It is not the policy of South Yorkshire Police Force, to investigate any suspicious death, unless the Coroner asks it to.”

It occurs to me, that if murders are never investigated, the Force could certainly make that claim. But is that really why we pay them?

During the time that my father’s murder has not been investigated by Meredydd Hughes and his rag-tag Force:

1 a South Yorkshire Police Driving Instructor admitted to Loughborough Magistrates that he had driven at 112 mph – because he was late and his girlfriend wanted to get home to sleep.

2 Meredydd Hughes, ‘Speed Czar’ for the country, has been caught speeding twice – once by his own force. No figures were given out publicly - so we're not sure what speed he was doing.

3 I have been assaulted by one of his officers, who acts as a Coroner’s Officer in Doncaster. I was also assaulted by the Doncaster Coroner.

4 He has allowed his Police Officers to be used as a threat against me, at Public Meetings run by South Yorkshire Strategic Health Authority, (which I did not disrupt), wasting both Police time and resources, against a 60 year old woman who has threatened nobody – with anything except the truth.

5 His Assistant Chief Constable, Stephen Chamberlain forced me to leave a Police Authority Meeting in Barnsley, which is billed as a meeting which the public can attend, when I was neither disrupting that meeting nor was the meeting yet due to begin. I was speaking to some of the members.

I believe that it is now time that Meredydd Hughes is sacked, for both fraud and perverting the course of justice.

We employ Police Officers, to keep us safe; not to act as a private army
not to lie and cheat and threaten, not to refuse to investigate obvious and provable murders. I feel that this bunch is an utter disgrace to the uniform; and a disservice to other honest hard-working Police Officers

The Police Force in South Yorkshire is acting out of hand. Its own Police Authority is refusing to do the duty, which the Home Office - and the general public - expects. Its members have been made fully aware that my father Ralph Winstanley was murdered in his bed, and that Meredydd Hughes, and prior to him Mike Hedges, have refused to investigate that murder. I feel it’s time to be rid of them.

27th April 2006 - Stoddart Hall, Hallam University

I went to the meeting where Meredydd Hughes was speaking about Justice. Including the honoured guest and the Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor, there were no more than 30 odd people in the audience; mostly it seemed, police members. In a lecture theatre which could have held 200, we were a tiny number.

He spoke - badly - for about 40 minutes. He cracked weak jokes - as if aiming sadly wide of the comedic mark. He fielded questions which did not necessarily include giving answers to those questions.

I asked him about South Yorkshire Police policy of not investigating suspicious deaths unless the Coroner asks it to; and how that sat, with his proud boast that there are less than half the murders in South Yorkshire than in the rest of he country. His answer was indistinguisable from nothing.

What else did I expect?

He had his photograph taken - with most of the audience - at the end. I didn't stay to witness the flash. I felt it would have been not showy enough to lift the gloom of the room.

I remain Ralph Winstanley's daughter - still seeking justice.

Nina Anne Clayton of Grange Farm, Pinfold Lane, Moss, Doncaster. DN6 0ED, and her younger daughter, Rosemary Alice Cheesman of Hunters Moon, Pinfold Lane, Moss, Doncaster. DN6 0ED, have been free of my father, Ralph Winstanley for nearly two years, since they had him killed on the National Health.

He was stated, by Nina Anne Clayton to be ‘destitute’ when he died. Perhaps that was why he died? He had been quite a rich old man. Someone seems to have fleeced him. I am aware that bank accounts, which were in his sole name, were being run by other people. I am aware that those people left him destitute

Whatever the reason, what is certain is that statements were made, by both Nina Anne Clayton and her daughter Rosemary Alice Cheesman, which just weren’t true. I am sure that you will be thinking that ‘the odd little lie’ does not matter so much?

The problem is that these lies were told not only to Ralph Winstanley’s own daughters, but to the on-call doctors at Danum Doctors Services Limited, a large number of nurses, various other doctors, including the Medical Director of a Hospice – and to numerous other people including the Police Force, the Coroner’s service, financial institutions and the general public.

So why has South Yorkshire Police Force not arrested this murderous pair?

That is an interesting question. Perhaps some of the members of the Force were involved socially with Nina Anne Clayton? I don’t know if that is the case, but I do wonder. In that case, what rank would such a person - or such people - need to be?

What I am certain of is that two Chief Constables of South Yorkshire Police Force, Mike Hedges and Meredydd Hughes, have consistently refused, in spite of many requests from my sister, my brothers and myself – and over two years – to investigate my father, Ralph Winstanley’s, obvious murder.

More than that, Her Majesty’s Coroner, South Yorkshire East District, ES Hooper, refused for 12 months (April 2004-April 2005), to call for an investigation into my father, Ralph Winstanley’s death.

He then handed the case over to his good friend, Paul Kelly, who is styled “Assistant Deputy Coroner”, North Lincs and Grimsby District. There is currently some doubt as to whether Paul Kelly has ever been employed by Her Majesty’s Coronal Service in England. Paul Kelly, having refused to deal adequately with any of my father’s blood family, in spite of the large amount of evidence which we supplied to him, proceeded to run what I can only believe was an entirely corrupt inquest. He was prepared to sit, at Scunthorpe Coroner’s Court, in the full glare of the National Press, on 5th October 2005 and make an utter mockery of my father’s so-called ‘inquest’.

Presumably it was done with the full knowledge of HM Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District, J Stewart Atkinson? After all, the Court space had to be booked. The Coroner’s Officers and Coroners Administrator were used in this fiasco.

The verdict, which my family was aware was pre-determined, possibly before our father’s killing, was that he died of ‘natural causes’.

This mockery flies in the face of natural justice and the Law of the Land.

So why have they not all been arrested? Why is Nina Anne Clayton not currently languishing in jail, where I believe she belongs? Why is her younger daughter, Rosemary Alice Cheesman, still allowed to remain (in her newly acquired riches), in that large new house next door to her mother, rather than joining her in a cell?

It certainly makes me feel a little less safe in my bed, to know that this is what happens when someone is murdered.

I fear for the people who live close by these women. Also, I fear for anyone in the area who asks for help from the local doctors and nurses. My sister and I have found them to be – at least – totally unprofessional.

Then there is the police service, which I had called for help. It was used illegally, to warn my sister and me away the village of Moss, on the afternoon of our father’s murder. Since that time that same police force has claimed, to outsiders, that my father’s death has been investigated, whilst doing absolutely nothing to actually investigate it.

I have been told, by Detective Superintendent Robert Haworth that it is the policy of South Yorkshire Police, not to investigate any suspicious death, unless HM Coroner asks it to.

Not one of them would listen when my sister and I realised that our father, Ralph Winstanley, had not been dying.
Not one of them has come forward since his death, to help us to gain justice for what they helped to do.
Various of those people lied to us as my father was being killed. They were prepared to state that he was dying of oesophageal and stomach cancer, when they knew that was not true.

Was Paul Kelly ever employed as an Assistant Deputy Coroner?

Dear Mrs Connolly,

Thank you for taking the time to speak to me when I called at your office on Friday, 31st March 2006.

This email is to set on record our conversation and fix in writing my concerns about the treatment, which my father’s family and I have received at the hands of the coronal service and others. Should you have any comment on the accuracy of anything contained within this email, I would be grateful if you would come back to me.

Perhaps you would send the information, which I have asked you for, without delay?

1 I asked you for copies of the Accounts of North East Lincolnshire District Council, in respect of the Coroner's Service, for the last 4 years. To include, if possible a breakdown into expenses of office and saleries paid and to whom they were paid:

b 2003/4
c 2002/3
d 2001/2

2 I asked to be shown the Council Minute, which recorded the Appointment of Paul Kelly as Assistant Deputy Coroner. In respect of that request, I quote the Coroners Act 1988:

Appointment of deputy coroners.
6.—(1) Every coroner—
(a) shall appoint as his deputy a person approved by the chairman of the relevant council; and
(b) may appoint as his assistant deputy a person so approved.

That seems to clearly indicate that the Council approval would have to be gained and therefore, ‘minuted’.

The other indication that the Council should have ‘minuted’ the appointment, had it taken place, is contained within the Coroners Act 1988 at:

Section 4

(3) If by reason of any order under subsection (2) above it is in the opinion of the Secretary of State necessary that the number of coroners for a non-metropolitan county should be increased,

(a) the council shall appoint such number of additional coroners for that county as the Secretary of State may direct; and

(b) section 1(3) above shall apply with respect to any such appointment as if a vacancy had occurred in the office of coroner for that county.

You will notice that the references above are that:

a “(3)If by reason of any order under subsection (2) above it is in the opinion of the Secretary of State necessary that the number of coroners for a non-metropolitan country shall be increased,..”
This indicates that not only should there be a Council ‘minute’, in both North and North East Lincs District Council records, but there should also be a record lodged at the office of the Secretary of State.

b “the Council shall appoint..”
That phrase shows that the Appointment must have been ‘minuted’ had it ever taken place.

3 I asked to be shown a copy of the information, which had gone to the Department for Constitutional Affairs, to the Lord Chancellor.

4 I told you why I believe that it is possible that Paul Kelly has never been appointed to any function within the Coroner's Service of North East and North Lincolnshire District Councils.

a No-one seems to know his job title - variously referring to him as Assistant Deputy Coroner and Deputy Coroner for North Lincs and Grimsby District, as if these two job titles are interchangable - which they are not.

b You do not seem to know his job title either, or whether he has such a job title as Assistant Deputy Coroner North Lincs and Grimsby District, since you have informed the Court of Administration throughout the Acknowledgement of Service that Paul Kelly is the Deputy Coroner for North Lincs and Grimsby District, which he is not.

c I state these facts in the certain knowledge that:

i David Overton, solicitor of Grimsby, remains the Deputy Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District.

ii Andrew Pascoe, solicitor of Sergeant & Collins, Scunthorpe, remains the Assistant Deputy Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District.

since I have recently received confirmation from both men that this is the case.

d Also, there seems to be a curious coming together of the various members of the Coronal Service:

i in that I have already been informed by two staff at the Coroner's Office in Cleethorpes that ES Hooper, HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District, who formerly sat on the evidence in respect of my father's murder and Paul Kelly, the man who claims to be HM Assistant Deputy Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District, have been close friends for around 20 years.

ii I have researched and found that Paul Kelly was a Partner at the same solicitors practice – Sergeant & Collins of Scunthorpe – in 1991 before he went to Hong Kong

iii also I know that J Stewart Atkinson, now HM Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District, was at that same solicitors practice as a Partner in 1991 – Sergeant & Collins of Scunthorpe.

iv and that Mr Andrew Pascoe, now HM Assistant Deputy Coroner, North Lincs & Grimsby District, was a Partner in 1991 and is currently a Partner at Sergeant & Collins, Scunthorpe

(I suggest no impropriety in respect of Mr Andrew Pascoe or Mr David Overton, only remarking about what I know to be fact.)

e I have documentary evidence, which states that ES Hooper, HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District and Paul Kelly met, at Paul Kelly’s home, whilst my sister and I were being reassured, by the Coroner’s Administrator and Coroner’s Officer at the Town Hall, Cleethorpes, that these two men would not meet nor discuss the merits of the evidence or other aspects of my father’s inquest, when documents were passed from one Coroner to the other ‘coroner’. We were also assured that all the documents would be handed over and that the new Coroner would then start from scratch.

f I also have documentary evidence which states that ES Hooper, HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District, had no intention of handing over the documents with which my family and I had provided him, preferring merely to hand over a ‘cherry picked’ selection, when the two men met, in the privacy of Paul Kelly’s home. This gave these two ‘friends of 20 years’, ample chance to discuss in great depth, what would then happen in respect of my father’s ‘inquest’. Such discussion would, so I am told, have been illegal.

g It is certainly the case that Paul Kelly then received, from me, a repeat of the documentary evidence which I had already given to ES Hooper, so that I could ensure that he had, the information which showed, beyond doubt, that my father, Ralph Winstanley had been deliberately killed, when he had not been dying. That evidence was clear and unambiguous.

h It is also the case that I asked Paul Kelly, several times and in writing, to ask for ‘a full and transparent police investigation into my father’s murder, by a Police Force away from the boundaries of, and unconnected to South Yorkshire Police Force’, whose senior officers, (Chief Constable Mike Hedges (retd August 2004) and Chief Constable Meredydd Hughes), have both consistently refused to investigate my father’s death, whilst lies were being told by senior officers, to members of the public, by stating that my father’s death had been investigated.

i Throughout the time when Paul Kelly had charge of the evidence which showed certainly that my father had been deliberately killed, he refused to deal with my father’s own family exhibiting a breathtaking amount of bias both in the Pre-Inquest Review and during the ‘inquest’ (5th October 2005), which I – and my family - regard as having been entirely corrupt.

j It became obvious to my family and me, before and during the ‘inquest’ that there was a pre-determined verdict which Paul Kelly – possibly in agreement with ES Hooper, HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District - was determined to reach:

i And that the ‘inquest’ was regarded as a mere formality, and a way of shutting up the genuine concerns which my family and I had in respect of the deliberate murder of our father, Ralph Winstanley,

ii and the risk which other old ill and vulnerable people had been left to face, because of the cover-up which was being promoted by the Coroner’s service and South Yorkshire Police Force and its Police Authority and the three NHS Trusts whose doctors and nurses were instrumental in killing that defenceless old man, my father, Ralph Winstanley.

iii And that this cover-up of murder was also designed to cover-up the fact that Ralph Winstanley had already been fleeced by his second wife and her family, before they had him killed by the NHS.

4 It is apparent in the Coroners Act 1988 – Section 28, below - that HM Coroner for North Lincs and Grimsby District should have notified the Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs of every inquest which he or his Deputy or Assistant Deputy Coroners have held, during 2005, by 1st February 2006. *****I would like to see a copy of that information:

Annual returns to be made to Secretary of State.
28.—(1) Every coroner shall on or before 1st February in every year furnish to the Secretary of State a return in writing, in such form and containing such particulars as the Secretary of State may direct, of all cases in which an inquest has been held by him, or by some other person acting for him, during the year ending on the immediately preceding 31st December. (2) Every coroner shall also, as and when required by the Secretary of State, furnish to the Secretary of State returns in relation to inquests held and deaths inquired into by him in such form and containing such particulars as the Secretary of State may direct.

I have been informed, (29.03.2006), by the Coroners Unit at the Department of Constitutional Affairs, that whilst they have a record that J Stewart Atkinson is HM Coroner, and Mr David Overton is HM Deputy Coroner, for North Lincs and Grimsby District, they have no record of any Assistant Deputy Coroner for North Lincs and Grimsby District..

5 I am aware that whichever Coroner (or Deputy Coroner or Assistant Deputy Coroner), undertakes an inquest, he has to sign all the documents in his own name. Effectively, he has to run the inquest – as if he were HM Coroner, even if he is only HM Deputy Coroner, or HM Assistant Deputy Coroner. He has to state that he was running that inquest, not merely that it was run in the area of HM Coroner for that district.

In that case, why did Mr J Stewart Atkinson formally ask that Professor Tim Illidge should provide a Report into the medical records of my father, Ralph Winstanley? There has never been any suggestion that Mr J Stewart Atkinson was asked to, or was ever running, the inquest into the death of my father, Ralph Winstanley. So why was it he who asked Professor Illidge for a Report? Why did Paul Kelly not ask for the Report? Was it not he who was running the inquest?

6 Since the Coroner’s Officer, Mr Martin Armstrong, and the Coroner’s Administrator, Mrs Joanne Grady, and other of the Coroner’s Officers were involved in matters in respect of Ralph Winstanley’s inquest, it is made apparent that HM Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District, was fully aware, (and presumably in agreement?), that Paul Kelly was stating that he was Assistant Deputy and Deputy Coroner? In that case, Mr J Stewart Atkinson must have been aware of what was going on within the Coroners Court in his own District. Also, the fact that it was Mr J Stewart Atkinson who requested the Report from Professor Tim Illidge, also seems to show that he was fully aware of what was happening.

7 We must also look at the matter from the point of view of the Law, as it relates to Coroners, as stated in the Coroners Act 1988,

Section 8,

3, (d) that the death occurred in circumstances the continuance or possible recurrence of which is prejudicial to the health or safety of the public or any section of the public,
he shall proceed to summon a jury in the manner required by subsection (2) above.

The documents presented to Paul Kelly, (as they had also previously been presented to ES Hooper, (HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District), showed the clear need for a Jury. Paul Kelly refused to swear such a Jury. This indicates either that he had no experience or information of the legal duties of a Coroner, or that he was acting corruptly.

8 HM Coroner North Lincs and Grimsby District is J Stewart Atkinson. The law, in the form of the Coroners Act 1988, states:

Functions of deputy coroners.
7.—(1) A deputy coroner may act for his coroner in the following cases but no others, namely—
(a) during the illness of the coroner;
(b) during the coroner's absence for any lawful or reasonable cause; or
(c) at an inquest for the holding of which the coroner is disqualified.
(2) Where a coroner vacates office, his deputy—
(a) shall continue in office until a new deputy is appointed;
(b) shall act as coroner while the office remains vacant; and
(c) shall be entitled to receive in respect of the period of the vacancy the same remuneration as the vacating coroner.
(3) An assistant deputy coroner—
(a) may act as coroner where the deputy coroner would be entitled to act as coroner but is unable so to act owing to illness or absence for any reasonable cause; and
(b) where the coroner vacates office, may act for the deputy coroner in like manner while the office of coroner is vacant.

I take it that J Stewart Atkinson was perfectly capable of taking an inquest, which did not come into the Coroner’s Court at Scunthorpe until 6 months after it was moved over the border from Doncaster? In that case, the law states that he must take that inquest.

If he was not up to the matter, the law also states that his Deputy must take that inquest, as if he were HM Coroner. J Stewart Atkinson’s Deputy Coroner is David Overton. David Overton did not run my father’s ‘inquest’. I strongly suspect that no coroner ran my father’s ‘inquest’.

9 You will see – below - that the Coroners Act 1988, makes provision for inquests held out of Jurisdiction. That provision is for ‘the Coroner’. It is not for some ‘mate’ of the coroner or for any old Assistant who happens to be passing. – but for the Coroner himself. Paul Kelly is not HM Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District.

Inquest out of jurisdiction.
14.—(1) If it appears to a coroner that, in the case of a body lying within his district, an inquest ought to be held into the death but it is expedient that the inquest should be held by some other coroner, he may request that coroner to assume jurisdiction to hold the inquest; and if that coroner agrees he, and not the coroner within whose district the body is lying, shall have jurisdiction to hold the inquest.

10 The other aspect of this case is that the Law and Democratic Services Department of North East Lincs District Council, is publicly funded, from Council Tax.

It seems to be prepared to spend that tax on defending someone who might not ever have been employed by the Coroner’s Service of either North East Lincs or North Lincs Council areas.

If that is the case, I would be interested to be told, whether the Standards Committees of those two councils agree that this man should be operating within their areas, in such a highly suspect manner; moreover a man who makes the claim that he is employed on behalf of Her Majesty via the Lord Chancellor and the two District Councils

11 On the other hand if it is found to be the case that Paul Kelly was actually employed by the Coronal Service for North Lincs and Grimsby District, then I would wish to make a formal complaint to the Standards Committes of both Councils in respect of his illegal dealing with the inquest of my father in that he:

a refused to deal at all adequately with the family of Ralph Winstanley, following the handing over of the inquest, from ES Hooper, HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District.

b refused to swear a Jury for an inquest which was being held in respect of the killing, by doctors and nurses from three NHS Trusts, when that man provably had not been dying.

That is a matter of ‘public interest’ in that other people could very well be in danger of dying in the same way as Ralph Winstanley.

That ‘public interest’ test, should legally override any preferences of whichever of Her Majesty’s Coroners is holding the inquest – as stated in the Coroners Act 1988, Section 8, 3, d, which is quoted above, at point 7.

c refused to allow vital evidence to be brought into the Coroners’ Court, in spite of having had that evidence presented to him many months before the ‘inquest’ was held. That works against the Coroners Act 1988

Section11

(5) An inquisition—

(a) shall be in writing under the hand of the coroner and, in the case of an inquest held with a jury, under the hands of the jurors who concur in the verdict;

(b) shall set out, so far as such particulars have been proved—
(i) who the deceased was; and
(ii) how, when and where the deceased came by his death;

Where obviously vital evidence is not allowed into the Coroners Court, in spite of being presented as sworn evidence, with strong Documentary evidence to back it up, there is no way in which HM Coroner can possibly hope to fulfil the legal requirements of the Coroners Act 1988 in respect of finding out ‘how the deceased came by his death’

12 In respect of whether or not Paul Kelly qualifies for Coroners Act 1988

Section 3

(4) The Lord Chancellor may, if he thinks fit, remove any coroner from office for inability or misbehaviour in the discharge of his duty.

(5) A coroner who is guilty of corruption, wilful neglect of his duty or misbehaviour in the discharge of his duty shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to a fine or to both.

(6) Where a coroner is convicted of an offence under subsection (5) above, the court may, unless his office as coroner is annexed to any other office, order that he be removed from office and be disqualified for acting as coroner

I certainly feel that both, ES Hooper, HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District and J Stewart Atkinson, HM Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District, both qualify, under the terms of the Act, for removal from their posts. I would like to have this looked into by both councils who employ HM Coroner, North Lincs & Grimsby District on behalf of the Lord Chancellor.

Also I will now be taking the matter up with South Yorkshire, in respect of ES Hooper, HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District, who not only saw fit to deliberately hinder justice by refusing to ask for a full transparent investigation into my father’s death, but also saw fit to drag this matter on for 12 months, whilst scattering Interim Death Certificates, which aided the people who had deliberately had my father killed, and then proceeded to assault me – as his Coroner’s Officer PC Edward Iszatt had also done - following simple requests for information .

I look forward to your early reply, with copies of the information, which I have requested.

Donny's Bereavement Plan

Three Doncaster NHS Trusts have combined to offer full supportive care to those who wish to become 'relatives of the 'deceased''. (Known throughout this article as the 'bereaved')

This package is aimed to help the 'pre-bereaved' who are tired of their 'loved one' to turn themselves, quietly and discretely, into the 'bereaved'. It is a home-based service, offered with no charge at 'point-of-use' by the caring NHS.

Professionals of the standing of GPs, District Nursing Sisters and ordinary bog-standard nurses will be used to help your 'loved one' out of this life and into the next, in an unstoppable and fully-supportive, caring manner.

This support will, in the wider sense, continue, throughout the long 'bereavement' of the stated 'bereaved' by keeping a very close eye on all documents, freely defaming the character of difficult people, bringing into question their mental stability and generally distancing the 'bereaved' from all troubles and cares.

This extra supportiveness has been achieved following a comprehensive and wide-ranging review of care services for the aid of those who wish to be bereaved in Doncaster.

Overseeing functionary authorities, dispensing their 'blind' judgement on these formal matters, will as usual refuse to see. They will sit at their desks, totting up their pension points and reliably keeping free of all controversy.

There is an arrangement with the local plod, whereby its Officers will threaten, cajole and finally ignore, anyone who impinges on the smooth running of this procedure.

The third tranch of support comes from the group known as HMC, which has promised to sit quietly in a corner, in a non-interogatory manner, waiting for a sign from above that neutral causes were overwhelmingly responsible for the terrible bereavement of the 'bereaved'.

As a further incentive, this NHS initiative is rounded off, for a small charge by a friendly local 'specialist bereavement undertaker'. For a small fee, your 'loved one' can be quietly dropped into a hole in the hours of darkness.

This allows the 'bereaved' to get on with the funeral party, without disturbance from the 'loved one' - and with no need to tramp about in cold, damp cemeteries, when they would prefer to be whooping it up at the party.

This wonderful all-inclusive project, is thought to be a leader in the field of helping the 'bereaved' into their bereavement.

Report of Professor Tim Illidge of CRUK Paterson Institute and Christie NHS Trust

As an introduction to the Report of Professor Illidge, Ralph Winstanley's blood family state that Ralph Winstanley was killed, using lies told by Nina Anne Clayton and her daugher, Rosemary Alice Cheesman. Also using the on-call doctor service - whose doctors did not ever see the patient - and a range of other doctors and nurses, from across THREE NHS Trusts, as detailed in other areas of this site.

His own GP, Dr David J Brown, had put him on 4-hourly Morphine-by-mouth on 14th April 2004, as he was trying to recover from very recent chemotherapy, (05-10/11 April), though there is no indication that he was experiencing any pain.

Four days later, on 18th April Nina Anne Clayton called the on-call doctor service. At that time, Ralph Winstanley was walking, sitting standing, with no aid whatsoever. He was able to eat, drink, and take tablets with no problems. He was holding sensible conversations, though speaking slowly, (because of the Morphine-by-mouth?).

Even 24 hours after the first syringe-driver needle had gone into his thigh, he could still walk and talk and sit and stand, unaided. He kept stating that he was not in any pain.

Perhaps because of the Morphine already in his system, he had no resistance to the injections, drugs and needles, except to try to pull them out.

Because of lies told to Danum Doctors on-call service, they were content to prescribe Terminal Care, for the first time to a patient whom they had never met. They were told, by Nina Anne Clayton, that he was 'terminally ill - getting worse'. Dr Kevin Lee of Danum Doctors reports this on his original record, of the telephone call which he had with Nina Anne Clayton, (who then called herself Mrs Winstanley, (see original docs and Dr Lee's letter of 18th May 2004, on http://rwinstanley.blogspot.com/2006/02/proof-of-murder.html).

He also states in his letter of 18th May 2004:

"..and heard from Mrs Winstanley that her husband who was suffering from multiple terminal pathologies including Chronic Leukaemia, heart failure, stomach nodules and low protein.."

No doctor saw Ralph Winstanley until he had been flooded with Diamorphine, Haloperidol and Midazolam for more than 24 hours. Dr Rachel S Sykes, the doctor who saw him at that point, decided that because he was trying to pull out the syringe-driver needles, he had 'terminal agitation'. But he had told her and the nurses that he had no pain, so why force him to have 'pain relief' for pain which he stated he did not have?

I believe that the Report reporduced below was produced by a Charlatan, who in spite of his qualifications, has not the faintest idea of the facts of my father's death. This Report skews the facts and slithers the information. If it really was produced - rather than just signed with out reading - by Professor Illidge, then I fear for those over whom he has control.

What Ralph Winstanley's two Consultants thought

I must make it absolutely clear, that my family and I are extremely grateful to the two consultants mentioned on this page. Their comments are extremly enlightening. Ralph Winstanley's blood relatives, his four children, are extremely grateful to Dr G Majumdar and Dr G James for their confirmation of their hospital clinic records. What a pity that no-one would believe them before. All the relevant people have had ready access to the records of Dr Majumdar and Dr James, for nearly two years.

Letter - below - from Dr G Majumdar, Consultant Haematologist, Doncaster Royal Infirmary. It is dated 8th March 2006.

You will notice that Dr Majumdar states that, on 5th April 2004, his patient, Ralph Winstanley's, condition:

"from the blood point of view..(his condition).. was not too bad."

and Ralph Winstanley's chronic lymphocytic leukaemia was:

"..still responsive to treatment."

also that Dr Majumdar:

"..prescribed him the usual chemotherapy, which he had regularly to control the disease."

and at the end of the letter, Dr Majumdar states:

"His chronic lymphocytic leukaemia at that time was under reasonable control."

(Dr Majumdar, the gratitude of Ralph Winstanley's blood family is unbounded.Thank you.)

Yet, for some reason, Paul Kelly, (who is, I am told President of the Family Health Service Appeals Authority) stated to be "Assistant Deputy Coroner, North Lincs & Grimsby District" was content to declare - with little reference to fact - that Ralph Winstanley had died of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and 'natural causes'. Why would that be?

Who would make such a decision.. and what reason would they have for doing so?

Perhaps Paul Kelly would like to contact me to inform me what he thought he was up to? Perhaps Mr J Stewart Atkinson, HM Coroner for North Lincs and Grimsby District, would like to tell me what is going on? For that matter, perhaps Mr Eric Stanley Hooper, HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District would like to tell me? It seems to me that there is a 'rat in the cupboard'.

However, there are other people who should know. ex-Chief Constable Michael Hedges of South Yorkshire Police Force, might like to give me his opinion, as to why he refused to insist on an investigation of Ralph Winstanley's pre-mature death. Or perhaps Chief Constable, Meredydd Hughes has an opinion of his own, as to why he continued Michael Hedges cover-up of the truth? If so, I would love to hear it.

Letter from Dr Gary James, Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist, Doncaster Royal Infirmary. It is dated 14th March 2006.

You will notice that on page 1, Dr James states that, when he was looking for evidence of oesophageal cancer, the results of the first biopsy (13th January 2004), showed:

"..no evidence of oesophageal cancer.."

but being concerned to check if that first biopsy was accurate, he arranged a second biopsy test for six weeks later.

You will read, on page 2, that the second endoscopy with biopsies was performed on 10th March 2004. The results were reported to Consultant Gastroenterologist, Dr James on 15th March 2004. He notes that:

"There was no evidence of malignancy, ie cancer, and no evidence of dysplasia, which are pre-cancerous cells."

In conclusion, Dr James states:

"I can confirm that neither myself nor Dr Atkinson or Dr Karwa gave a terminal prognosis throughout this period. Basically we had not found a reason to do so and even if we had found a cancer, there was no indication that this had reached a terminal phase.."

Well, that seems pretty clear. However, there is a small problem with this information. Dr James is the actual Consultant, who was in charge of the investigations into Ralph Winstanley's 'oesophageal/stomach problems'.

Thank goodness for Dr James. Ralph Winstanley's blood children are really grateful to him. He and Dr Majumdar are like shining beacons, in the darkness - and corruption - of the last two years of our lives.

It is therefore interesting to speculate why both of Ralph Winstanley's daughters were informed that Ralph Winstanley was dying of oesophageal and stomach cancer.?

Various people might be in a position to answer that question.

Nina Anne Clayton, might like to get in touch. It was she who told Dr Kevin Lee that Ralph Winstanley was:

"TERMINALLY ILL, GETTING WORSE, NOT MOBILE, STOPPED EATING"

also that he had

"TERMINAL AGITATION"

Dr Kevin Lee states in his letter (18.05.2004), that she rang him (at 06.18 on Sunday 18th April 2004), about:

"..her husband who had multiple terminal pathologies including Chronic Leukaemia, heart failure, stomach nodules & low protein.."

He goes on to state that she said that his GP, Dr Brown:

"..had given Mr Winstanley a terminal prognosis.."

Perhaps Dr Kevin Lee, of Danum Doctors Services Limited and the Scott Practice, Greenfield Lane, Balby, Doncaster, might like to contact me to tell me why he believed such a story, heard only over a telephone line, from a woman not medically trained? Why did he not go to see 'the patient' before prescribing the drugs which killed him?

And Dr Jonathan Bundy, of Field Road Surgery, Stainforth Doncaster and Danum Doctors Services Limited of The Old Ambulance Station, Armthorpe Road, Doncaster: why did he prescribe both Midazolam and Haloperidol to a patient he did not see? Perhaps he might like now to contact me and state whether he was acting in collusion with Dr David J Brown and Dr Rachel S Sykes and Nina Anne Clayton? I would be very interested to know.

Nina Anne Clayton's younger daughter, Rosemary Alice Cheesman of Hunter's Moon, Pinfold Lane, Moss, Doncaster, might also like to explain why she followed nurses round, stating that he was 'retching' when he was doing no such thing.

Her son-in-law, Frazer John Cheesman of Hunter's Moon, Pinfold Lane, Moss, Doncaster, might like to explain why he was so helpful in scouring the entire area of greater Doncaster, for drugs which should have been readily available at the local pharmacy. Also why he would not let Ralph Winstanley's elder daughter, fetch the presctiptions, as she is - more than - competent at finding chemist's shops. Why was she not allowed to fetch the drugs which they all stated were for her own father's 'terminal care'?

Dr David J Brown of Field Road Surgery, Stainforth, Doncaster, might contact me to say why - exactly - he had given my father, Ralph Winstanley a 'terminal prognosis'? Was it because we all will die at sometime? Or did he have some other reason? Could that reason have been connected with the letter which Dr David J Brown wrote, in respect of his 'so-called will', one month after Ralph Winstanley had been killed?

Dr Rachel S Sykes, of Field Road, Surgery, Stainforth, Doncaster, could also contact me, to tell me and my sister, why - exactly - she told us that our father, 'was dying of oesophageal and stomach cancer', when he had no such thing?

Also perhaps I could ask that Dr Gillian Harding, the Medical Director of St John's Hospice, Weston Road, Balby, Doncaster, could contact me so that she can now explain why she assured my sister and I - several times - that our father 'was definitely dying of oesophageal and stomach cancer', when that just wasn't true?

FACT: Professor Helen Whitwell's Pathology Report stated that:

"In my opinion the cause of death is:
1.a Bronchopneumonia
1.b Disseminated lymphocytic lymphoma."

Ralph Winstanley certainly did not have Bronchopneumonia on the 18th Aprl 2004, when the final assault by 'health professionals' took place. Though it is probably perfectly reasonable to suggest that he did have it by the time he succumbed to their 'treatment', six long days and nights later. You will have read - in the letter above - what his Consultant Haematologist, Dr Majumdar states about his chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.

Also there are various other people; a Nurse Manager; several Nursing Sisters; several Registered General Nurses; a Director of Public Health; one ex-Chief Constable; one currently serving Chief Constable; several other high-ranking police officers; a complete Police Authority; Her Majesty's Coroner, South Yorkshire East District; Her Majesty's Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District; who really should be asking themeselves whether it has been fraudulent to take the money for their jobs, when they either refused to do their jobs or were so incompetent that they should have been sacked from their jobs.

This is a matter of the murder of an old and vulnerable man, in his bed, using the very people who should have kept him safe. It is also a matter of complete abrogation of duty, by those people paid as public servants to ensure that the Law is upheld. Further it is a matter of a two year long cover-up of that murder, by large numbers of health professionals and Directors of NHS Trusts in Doncaster and Directors of South Yorkshire Health Authority.

I will have more to say on this matter. These people, and the others involved, will all be named,
one by one.

The number of agencies to whom Ralph Winstanley's blood family have turned, over the last two years, for help - and who have turned us down for that help which they are being paid to give - is utterly shocking.

It includes
1. The Healthcare Commission,
2. The Health Ombudsman,
3. The Independent Police Complaints Commission,
4. The Home Secretary,
5. The Secretary of State for Health,
5. The Head of Constitutional Affairs,
6.The Coroners Unit,
7. The Crown Prosecution Service.

There are also others. But because there are so many, it is difficult to retain all their useless names in my head, so I will leave it for now. But I will be coming back to it. And.. yes.. I do have letters from all of those agencies which will be mentioned - and copies to the posting in which they appear.

Will there be anything like Justice, at the end of this? All I can say about that is:

"Don't hold your breath. Your face will turn blue."

(on the other hand, it is remarkably uplifting to see that there are a few, a very few people, who are honest and professional - and who care about what they do.)

How the National Health Service helped Nina Anne Clayton

When Nina Anne Clayton and her younger daughter Rosemary Alice Cheesman decided that Ralph Winstanley was no longer of use to them, they called in the National Health Service.
They had taken all his money; he was becoming a burden; he was getting old.

The friendly local arm of the NHS, in Doncaster, sent its army of worker ants, its ‘highly professional’ doctors and nurses – and one doctor who had control of Ralph Winstanley’s health but ‘unfortunately couldn’t be present’ to help him die. However, Dr Kevin Lee, of Danum Doctors Services Limited, in his letter to Mrs Elizabeth Hedge of Doncaster East and Central Primary Care Trusts, on 18th May 2004, states:

‘He was a man with multiple terminal pathologies who had already received a terminal prognosis by his own GP..’

One or two ‘minor’ lies were told by Nina Anne Clayton and her younger daughter, Rosemary Alice Cheesman:

"he has heart failure"
"he is dying of cancer"
"he’s in terrible pain and being dreadfully sick and is fetching up blood"

And within 6 days none of that was true. It never had been true. But he was dead.

He died of an overdose of the National Health Service Doncaster East and Central PCT branch.. with a little vital help from the local Hospice ‘professionals’.

Danum Doctors Services Limited – the on-call doctor service – was delighted to help by providing ready access to drugs, which ‘took him out of his misery’. This was not seen as an important enough job to involve a doctor actually calling to see ‘the patient’. After all ‘the patient’ was dying, wasn’t he?

He must have been dying. His wife and step-daughter said so. (Medically trained? No! Why should his wife and step-daughter need to be medically trained? He was in the way, wasn’t he?)

How it Happened – and Who was Involved

18.04.2004

06.18 – Nina Clayton made a private phone call to Danum Doctors Services Limited, stating that her husband was:

‘terminally ill, getting worse, not mobile, stopped eating’.

Also, in his letter of 18th May 2004 Dr Kevin Lee, of Danum Doctors Services Limited, also stated that, when he rang back at 06.40, ‘Mrs Winstanley’ told him:

‘that her husband who was suffering from multiple terminal pathologies including chronic leukaemia, heart failure, stomach nodules and low protein had been seen the previous Friday by Dr David Brown his GP. Dr Brown had given Mr Winstanley a terminal prognosis and had commenced Oramorph (Morphine-by-mouth) at a dose of 10mg/5ml 10ml every 4 hours, (120mg in 24 hours).’

Because of that conversation with Nina Clayton (who called herself Mrs Winstanley for Court apperances and inquests), Dr Kevin Lee decided that Ralph Winstanley had:

‘terminal agitation’.

(He must be a very clever man to have worked that out without ever seeing ‘the patient’.)

With that diagnosis, he sent Sister Szadrozny out to assess ‘the patient’. He prescribed

‘Diamorphine 10mg stat (by injection) via syringe-driver, (8 ampoules)
Haloperidol 5mg stat (by injection) and 5mg via syringe-driver’

(Without ever seeing the patient?)

Ralph Winstanley was seen and assessed by Sister Szadrozny, who arrived with Nursing Assistant Marie Hallam. Because Dr Kevin Lee had told her that Ralph Winstanley was terminally ill and had heart failure, she turned up with the drugs to inject into Ralph Winstanley.
(Her ‘assessment’ must surely have been slightly clouded by the information, which she had already received and by the drugs which had already been prescribed?)

Ralph Winstanley was injected with Diamorphine and Haloperidol. Sister Szadrozny reported back to Dr Kevin Lee about what she had been told by Nina Ann Clayton and her daughter, Rosemary Alice Cheesman. This compounded the problem. However, Ralph Winstanley did not protest much as these needles went into him.

He was as high as a kite on Morphine-by-mouth – and had been for four days. Even so, he was walking-sitting-standing, completely unaided. Speaking reasonably rationally, able and willing to eat and drink and swallow tablets and other medicine – had he needed it.

He was seen by Nursing Sister J D Lawrie. She set up the first syringe-driver containing Diamorphine and Haloperidol, and left. (One of the effects of Haloperidol is to make the patient agitated). One thing is certain. Ralph Winstanley was not complaining of any sickness. He was not being sick. He was not fetching up any blood. Yet that was what this nurse was being told. It is also what the other nurses were told.

Nina Anne Clayton rang the Twilight nurses. They rang Danum Doctors Services Limited and spoke to
Dr Jonathan Bundy, (also of Field Road Surgery, Stainforth). He recorded:

‘Twilight Nurses calling’
‘C/O started on syringe-driver today. Aggitated, trying to pull catheter out.’
‘Previous advice #50210 on 18-Apr-2004 06.18’
‘18.59 18-Apr-2004 diagnosis entered’
‘Midazolam 10mg/2ml x 10’

‘Twilight will phone when assessed’

Dr Jonathan Bundy also did not see ‘the patient’.

However, it seems that it was actually Dr Kevin Lee who ‘completed the authorisation letter’, looking in the British National Formulary under ‘terminal agitation’.

In his letter of 18th May 2004 Dr Kevin Lee states,

‘At no time did any of the doctors at DDS act unlawfully and there was never any intent to end Mr Winstanley’s life. He was a man with multiple terminal pathologies who had already received a terminal prognosis by his own GP and the medications supplied to Mr Winstanley were for symptom control.’

(I would be interested to be told whether the condition of ‘being alive’, is a symptom which needs to be controlled.)

Willing Nursing Sisters and Registered General Nurses saw to it that the job was done, that ‘the patient ‘ was ‘comfortable’, that the morphine-by-mouth which ‘the patient’ had been forced to take – for no discernable reason, following a visit to his friendly local GP, Dr David J Brown, of Field Road Surgery, Stainforth, four days before - was still given to ‘the patient’ to sup as the other drugs took effect, moving him unwillingly into unconsciousness.

He was seen by RGN B Shannon - who arrived with C Morris – and claimed to have set up a second syringe driver containing Midazolam. That is not true, as the second syringe driver was not set up until the following day. She injected him with Midazolam.

He was seen by RGN PA Jones, who refilled the only syringe-driver and notes that he was still being given morphine-by-mouth. She arrived with someone who seems to be called P Fenely – (though I am not certain whether that name is accurate)

District Nursing Sister Julie Marshall, from his local GP Practice, (and four doors up the road) arrived for the first time. She seems to have set up the second syringe-driver because she notes that they are both working satisfactorily.

At around the same time, Dr Rachel Sykes, of Field Road Surgery, Stainforth, arrived. This was the first time that Ralph Winstanley was seen by a doctor, following Nina Anne Clayton’s dramatic call for help with her ‘terminally ill’ husband who also had ‘heart failure’. (Neither of these statements was true, as his medical and hospital records show).

When Ralph Winstanley was finally seen by any doctor, (Dr Rachel S Sykes), he had had an accumulation of Oramorph, taken orally; Diamorphine, Haloperidol and Midazolam which were going into him by syringe driver; and an assortment of booster injections of these drugs.

He certainly didn’t look well, by the time Dr Rachel S Sykes popped in. He was heavily drugged – and struggling to live. (He looked very ill - but who wouldn’t look ill, with such a drugs load going into them?)

RGN Lorna Clark, the Hospice-at-Home Nurse arrived, to be with Ralph Winstanley and his family for the night. She and his younger daughter kept each other company talking over much of the night. She was made aware of the problems within the family and that both his daughters were aware that lies were being told about him to the nurses.

Both daughters asked her about the advisability of nursing him bolt upright.

District Nursing Sister Julie Marshall returned alone, increasing the Diamorphine in the syringe-driver, at Dr Rachel S Sykes request. She notes that ‘his daughter’. ‘expressed extreme concern’ about his treatment. This is the point in the nursing record, where there is duplication of notes, which do, not tie in together. It appears that notes were made when the file disappeared after Ralph Winstanley’s death. The altered notes seem to be in District Nursing Sister Julie Marshall’s handwriting.

He was trying, in his badly drug-befuddled state to pull out the syringe-driver needles. Dr Rachel S Sykes, a ‘medical expert’ in these matters, decided that he had ‘terminal agitation’, so she increased the drugs load, until it finally made him unconscious.

District Nursing Sister S Edgeware arrived, helped us to find the source of his obvious pain, and then tried to sit him upright again, on a large pressure sore. It was on the base of his spine and across both buttocks. It was just about to burst. She objected when his daughters insisted that he was lain down instead and then nursed two hours either side. Her notes do not reflect those objections.

RGN Lorna Clark, the Hospice-at-Home Nurse, arrived to night-sit. She checked his syringe drivers and began pressure area care. She and his younger daughter again spent most of the night talking. They turned him every two hours. She expressed surprise that he had not died by then, though that is not written in the nursing notes. Ralph Winstanley’s younger daughter was distressed and was stating openly that she did not believe that her father had been dying. His elder daughter also stated that.

RGN K Watts arrived to check syringe-drivers. Ralph Winstanley had been completely unconscious for more than 24 hours at this point. When Nina Clayton was still stating to RGN K Watts – over his completely still body – that he was in terrible pain being dreadfully sick and fetching up blood, his two daughters took exception to it.

His elder daughter pointed out that he was completely unconscious and showing no signs of anything except breathing. She pointed out that there was no smell of sickness in the room. RGN K Watts insisted that they all move out of the room. His younger daughter fetched the black bucket, which had been used as receptacle for spit - and for tissues which he had been spitting into, before being rendered unconscious. There was no smell of sickness about it. They went through those tissues and it was pointed out to RGN K Watts, that he had not been dying before the drugs were pushed into him. Her response, was to get the day staff to review the situation.

RGN Lorna Clark, the Hospice-at-Home Nurse, arrived for the night. She was even more surprised to see that he was still alive. As a hospice-at-home nurse she was used to nursing dying patients. She expressed her surprise and again spent the night talking to Ralph Winstanley’ younger daughter. Together they turned him every two hours and RGN Clark was made aware they both of Ralph Winstanley’s daughters thought that their father was being killed when he hadn’t been dying.

When asked to, Val Derks, Lead Palliative Care Nurse spoke to Ralph Winstanley’s elder daughter and assured her that of course her father was dying. She recorded this in her notes, which are dated wrongly, (possibly because they were all written up after Ralph Winstanley’s death?)

Before 11.00 Dr Rachel S Sykes and Dr Gillian Harding, Medical Director of St John’s Hospice, had arrived.

Both of Ralph Winstanley’s own daughters arrived. His younger daughter was assaulted by Nina Anne Clayton and Dr Gillian Harding advanced on his elder daughter to throw her out of the room where her father, though unconscious, was still alive.

They both went out of the room to wait in the Conservatory, thinking that Dr Gillian Harding was the ‘specialist second opinion’, which they had asked for.

In fact Dr Gillian Harding was sailing under false colours. She was not specialist and not on the Specialists Register. She had experience in helping people with palliative care and in helping them to die. She did not state that she was not a specialist in the disease which she assured Ralph Winstanley’s two daughters he was dying of.

She assured them several times that he was definitely dying of 'oesophageal and stomach cancer'. Ralph Winstanley’s elder daughter wrote this down as she said it.
Dr Rachel S Sykes also assured them that he was 'dying of oesophageal cancer'. She had been saying that for several days.

(Both of these women were lying).

Dr Gillian Harding wrote in the Nursing Notes ‘advanced CLL’ (chronic lymphocytic leukaemia). (That was just not true). She also wrote ‘unconscious for three days’ without stating that the drugs-cocktail was responsible for that unconsciousness.

Ralph Winstanley’s Doncaster Royal Infirmary notes and the letter written by his specialist, Consultant Haematologist, Dr Majumdar of Doncaster Royal Infirmary on 8th March 2006, state that Ralph Winstanley’s chronic lymphocytic leukaemia was

‘under reasonable control’

and

‘responsive to treatment’.

Surely his own Consultant Haematologist, Dr Majumdar, who had been treating him since 1998 should know what he is writing about? So why did these two women lie?

Was it because they were both aware that he had not been dying –
or was it because neither of them had bothered to check his medical notes –
or was it some combination of the two?

How was Dr David J Brown involved? After all, he was ‘on leave’ that week, wasn’t he?

A - No, he was signing prescriptions in his surgery on the day before Ralph Winstanley died.
That is in Ralph Winstanley’s Medical Notes

B - He had made a definite note in Ralph Winstanley’s Medical Records, which said
‘ca oesophagus’ (cancer of the oesophagus).

That note was made on 15th March, when Dr David J Brown certainly knew, following two endoscopies with biopsies, (13th January & 10th March 2004), that Ralph Winstanley definitely did not have either oesophageal or stomach cancer.

C As Ralph Winstanley was recovering from his latest chemotherapy, which kept his chronic lymphocytic leukaemia ‘under reasonable control' because it was ‘responsive to treatment’.

Dr David J Brown, with the help of Nina Anne Clayton, was giving him Oramorph (morphine-by-mouth), every 4 hours. That prescription was made out on 14th April 2004, for no discernable reason. Ralph Winstanley was not complaining of any pain. Following his chemotherapy, which had probably ended on 11th April 2004, he was trying to recover and regain his appetite.

i Morphine stops people from wanting to eat.

ii Morphine also leaves the patient awake and active, but a bit of a pushover, should anyone want to stick syringe-driver needles into him.

Ralph Winstanley had been:

a made unconscious in front of his own two daughters, when he had not been dying nor expecting to die nor asking to die.

b kept unconscious through his daughters’ protestations; and through their many requests for help, made firstly to the nurses and then to Dr Rachel Sykes and then to Dr Tony Baxter, Director of Public Health at Doncaster East Primary Care Trust.

c his daughters believe, flushed out with water on the morning of Friday 23rd April 2004, before he finally died.

d deliberately kept unconscious until he was dead.

That is murder, no matter how many people were involved in it.

When Ralph Winstanley’s elder daughter, in some desperation, rang and spoke to Dr Tony Baxter, Director of Public Health at Doncaster East Primary Care Trust, he sent her straight back to Dr David J Brown, who had originally prescribed the morphine-by-mouth, for no discernable cause, four days before Nina Anne Clayton had decided that Ralph Winstanley would now die. No, that is not quite true. Dr David J Brown had also decided that Ralph Winstanley would die, whilst he was ‘on leave’. He wrote that down.

I have a copy of his Statement. It is dated, 16th May 2004. He states,

‘I was so struck by his continued deterioration and the likeliness of his imminent demise..’

He also comments in that Statement, about:

‘ ..his underlying lower oesophageal malignancy’

In a letter written to Mr Jonathan Goodwin, of solicitors, Bridge Sanderson Munro on 28th May 2004, Dr David J Brown wrote about:

'problems relating to chest and epigastric pain which was found to be due to cancer growing around his lower oesophagus and stomach.’

Also, in a letter, which Dr David J Brown wrote to Mrs Elizabeth Hedge, Complaints Manager, Doncaster East Primary Care Trust, on 1st June 2004, he comments:

‘Those involved in his final days were in full agreement regarding the malignant cancerous nature of his underlying problems.’

and

‘..especially the terminally ill like Mr Winstanley’

(See Dr Majumdar’s letter below.)

Dr Rachel S Sykes wrote to Mrs Elizabeth Hedge on 24th May 2004. In her letter, she stated:

‘Dr Brown was treating him for probable oesophageal malignancy and was due on holiday the next week. Dr Brown’s diagnosis was based on Mr Winstanley having had 2 endoscopies and was under a Consultant Gastroenterologist. At endoscopy a lesion was seen at the cardio-oesophageal junction and the likely diagnosis was malignancy. He was concerned with the deterioration in Mr Winstanley and fearful that he would die whilst he was away.’

(So it seems that Dr Rachel S Sykes now had the impression that the second endoscopy/biopsy, had returned the results that he had a malignancy of the oesophagus. On what evidence did she base that opinion? His second endoscopy/biopsy result had shown that he did not have a problem in his oesophagus or stomach.)

Ralph Winstanley’s daughters, having begged for a specialist second opinion about their father’s state of health, Dr Tony Baxter, Director of Public Health, Doncaster East Primary Care Trust, provided Dr Gillian Harding – (who didn’t bother to turn up for over 24 hours).

However, on the day Ralph Winstanley finally died, Dr Gillian Harding, Medical Director of St John’s Hospice, (and specialist in – what?) helping the chronically and terminally ill with Palliative and Terminal care, came as the ‘specialist second opinion’, which Ralph Winstanley’s daughters had begged for.

For six long days and nights they had been told that Ralph Winstanley was ‘dying of oesophageal and stomach cancer’.

Dr Rachel Sykes had assured them of that.
Dr Gillian Harding also assured them of that.
Val Derks, Hospice-at-Home Lead Nurse, assured them of that.

So why wasn’t the ‘specialist second opinion’ from someone who had been involved in Ralph Winstanley’s diagnosis and treatment for this ‘oesophageal and stomach cancer'?

Why wasn’t his Consultant Gastroenterologist, Dr Gary James, of Doncaster Royal Infirmary, asked to give an opinion?

The problem was that there was no oesophageal or stomach cancer.

Ralph Winstanley’s post mortem, performed only three days after his death, had shown the Home Office Pathologist, Professor Helen Whitwell, that Ralph Winstanley did not have either oesophageal or stomach cancer.

Her Pathology Report, produced finally, ten months later, stated nothing about oesophageal or stomach cancer.

Ralph Winstanley, having been given no food or fluid, through the April heatwave, for his four long days and nights of unconsciousness, had struggled enough. His heart, strong for a man of his age, as his hospital records show, finally gave out at 3pm on Friday 23rd April 2004.

Curiously he seemed, during the two hours after the Nurses and Doctors left, to have been flooded with fluid. He was pushing out fluid with every breath. He seemed to be drowning in it.

At post-mortem it was also found that his weight had dramatically increased - by 2 stones and 2 pounds.

Following his death, his daughters and his sons then began the long and treacherous road to justice for their father and their family. It is not over yet.

A large number of people, over the past two years, have refused to do their job. Instead, they have indulged in an overwhelming cover-up of murder.

Two Chief Constables of South Yorkshire Police Force, Michael Hedges and Meredydd Hughes, have refused to undertake an investigation into how Ralph Winstanley met his death. However, since they have been presented with more than adequate evidence, to show that he was murdered, those two Chief Constables are, apart from not doing the job for which the public pays them, now implicated as
Accessories After the Fact of Murder.

Her Majesty’s Coroner ES Hooper, of South Yorkshire East District, has refused to ask that a full police investigation should take place in spite of his being presented with more than adequate evidence to show that Ralph Winstanley was murdered. That makes him an Accessory After the Fact of Murder.

When Eric Stanley Hooper recused himself, and passed on the case to someone else, it was done in a secretive and collusive way, at that person’s home. An email sent from his office states that he:

‘..proposes sending to the new coroner only the core of the file, and most definitely not sending to that new coroner your allegations about a very large number of people.’

The person to whom he passed on the case is a man called Paul Kelly.

Eric Stanley Hooper and Paul Kelly have known each other for more than 20 years, as the Coroner’s staff at Cleethorpes informed Ralph Winstanley’s daughters.

Paul Kelly is President of the Family Health Service Appeals Authority.

His name appears nowhere on the web site in which Mr J Stewart Atkinson, HM Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District states the name of his Deputy Coroner is (David Overton), and of his Assistant Deputy Coroner, (Andrew Pascoe). In a very informative document he lists the general wonderfulness of his Coronal Services, few of which ‘benefits’ my family has experienced. Nowhere does he mention Paul Kelly.

On speaking to a member of the Law and Democratic Service staff, at North Lincs, on 13th March 2006, that man, Gary Ward, didn’t even recognise Paul Kelly’s name.

The Coroner’s staff, at North Lincs and Grimsby District, variously refer to Paul Kelly as ‘Assistant Deputy Coroner’ and ‘Deputy Coroner’. Which is it? He can’t be both. Is he either?

Even the Judge at the Court of Administration seems not to know.
However, that is beside the point. Whatever he is, Paul Kelly has been in charge of my father’s Inquest.

He was put in charge of it, presumably, by HM Coroner, North Lincs and Grimsby District. They have both worked at same solicitor’s practice, Sergeant & Collins of Scunthorpe. Paul Kelly was a Partner there, before he went to Hong Kong. More recently, Mr J Stewart Atkinson is believedto have been a Consultant, at the same firm. Andrew Pascoe also works there.

So is this a case of ‘getting a ‘mate’ in’?

More to the point, this man Paul Kelly consistently refused to deal adequately with the concerned family of Ralph Winstanley.

At the Pre-Inquest review, he made an odd decision that none of the nurses or Specialists who were involved in Ralph Winstanley’s care, would need to answer any questions – or be called at all - at the Inquest.

When the day of the Inquest arrived, he would not allow any of the family witnesses to state what had happened to their father/grandfather, though he had fully sworn Affidavits, which were entirely and directly relevant to Ralph Winstanley's death, from several of them.

He did not ask for evidence from Dr Kevin Lee or from Dr Majumdar. When Ralph Winstanley’s family tried to ask questions he shut them up. Does that make, Paul Kelly an Accessory After the Fact of Murder?

And where does Mr J Stewart Atkinson stand in this? He must have agreed that his friend Paul Kelly should run Ralph Winstanley’s Inquest, when he knew that he had a legal duty, as Her Majesty’s Coroner, to run it himself.

The entire Boards of Directors and Executives of two Primary Care Trusts and one NHS Trust have deliberately hidden evidence, and are thus implicated as Accessories After the Fact of Murder.

Matters of Concern

If all those people are prepared to cover up the death of one fleeced old man, how many other unwelcome deaths are they covering up?

This is a copy of the letter from Ralph Winstanley’s Consultant Haematologist, Dr Majumdar. The (ho-ho) 'Assistant Deputy Coroner', Paul Kelly brought in an Inquest verdict that Ralph Winstanley had died of ‘chronic lymphocytic leukaemia’ and ‘natural causes’. (not sure what planet this man seems to be on but it seem to be a planet with little common sense). Dr Majumdar does not seem to agree with Paul Kelly.

Health Board and Trust Members who are covering up the murder of Ralph Winstanley

This woman
Jane Fenwick, is a non-executive Director of South Yorkshire Strategic Health Authority - which is in England.

More to the point, she is the woman who threw out two members of the public, who asked questions at the Public Consultation Meeeting, at The New Hall, Bawtry, Doncaster South Yorkshire, on 17th February 2006.
That meeting was obviously held because of legal requirement.

On the other hand it was hardly advertised, so how would the publc know that it was on?

It consisted of five panel members - and Christine Boswell, who chose to avoid the limelight by sitting in the 'audience' - perhaps to pad it out, as the other NHS paid people also seemed to be doing? Certainly the 'audience' would have been a bit thin otherwise, particularly once some of its members were thrown out.

In total there were only 28 people at that meeting - a small rise from the previous week's - hardly advertised - meeting at Doncaster, where only 22 people were in the room.

The interesting thing about the 'audience' is that it was very obviously padded out well with members of the trusts, who were paid to be there.

Last night there were only about 10 members of the general public - of which two were asked to leave because the questions they asked were not liked, by the person above. Last week there had only been 4 members of the general public.

As last week, lots of photocopied documents, saying very little, were pushed at the public. Was that so that bumph for 60 could be distributed and that number could be put down as having been at the Meeting? It certainly makes me wonder.

However, the real treat of the evening was the policeman, who had been called to attend. He spent at least two hours in that building, brought in as a personal threat to me, because I had asked questions and requested a formal interview with members of the three trusts whose staff had been used to kill my father. I had made this request in a calm way and asked that the SYSHA should also be at the meeting.

I had not disrupted the meeting - waiting quitetly until question time and putting up my hand to ask the question. The Chief Executive of SYSHA, Alan Wittrick had invited me to ask my questions.

He had then sent me a threatening letter, with no information about the meeting which I had requested.

I am becoming really disturbed about the constant balckening of my name. It seems that the police had been told that I had disrupted the previous meeting. I had not.

Folling my removal from thlast night's meeting (17th Feb), I am told that a further attempt was made to blacken my name, that I was accused by one of the audience 'plants' of being 'mad' and that a prepared refutation was read out by the woman above, giving me no opportuinity to respond.

I would point out to the various people responsible for the mass cover-up which has gone on in respect of my father's murder, using doctors and nurses (and 7 Nursing Sisters - whose names will shortly be on this site), that they now hold responsibility for this murder, and for any other murders achieved using their staff.

Because they have been fully informed about what happened and why it happened, with full documentary evidence to prove what I state, they are all now culpable.

The list - below - has the names of those Directors who are now refusing to put a stop to the dreadful loopholes in their ramshackle system, which allowed the killing of my father in his bed, and which, with full knowledge, have now left other people at risk for nearly two years.

These people are all Accessories After The Fact of Murder. They are all fully aware of what happened, because I have made them aware of it, individually. They are taking a lot of public money between them, to look after our health. Hiding murder is not within their remit.

An open letter to the Members of the Executive Committee at Doncaster East Primary Care Trust. In respect of Dr David J Brown of Field Road Surgery, Stainforth – and the Trust’s blocking of access to Ralph Winstanley’s Medical and other records – and its refusal to deal adequately with Ralph Winstanley’s death, so that other people’s health is protected.

Following my original approach to you on 25th January 2006, I have received a threatening letter

from the over-inflated solicitors paid by the PCTs to send out such things against members of the public seeking redress for serious mistakes. I do not take such threats kindly. My father was killed under the ‘care’ of three NHS Trusts. Whether that was a deliberate act of murder on the part of anyone connected with the Trusts, is at least open to question. Also open to question is the supposed ‘professionalism’ and accountability of the medical and health ‘professionals’ who were involved in this killing – wittingly or otherwise.

He had not been dying, nor had he been asking to die. He did not speak about dying either - or about the supposed imminence of his own death. He had been looking forward to a family wedding, which took place 6 months after he was killed.

The drone at Beachcroft Wansbroughs, who curiously enough is a relative expert in Mental Health Law (I believe that my father was fleeced (not by Michael Doyle), using aspects of The Mental Health Act 1983 and corrupt Court dealings), and seems - in my experience - to make his living by threatening innocent and aggrieved members of the public. I can see that heis taking money which could be better used in setting this problem straight; and then in looking after the health of the people who need care. (The Law has always been an ass - but it is a very rich ass.)

My family and I are looking for justice. We will not stop until we get it. The person who had not the wit to sign the threatening letter, is taking money from the sick. According to the reference which heads it, that person is Mr Michael Doyle.

Following such a letter, I feel obliged to send proof of the facts stated in my previous letter. You will find that proof in the links below, which take you to copies of original documents.

When Dr David J Brown was taken on as Chairman of Doncaster East Primary Care Trust, Executive Committee, did he first give you the facts in relation to his dead patient Ralph Winstanley?

1 It is fact that Dr David J Brown was the GP in overall and day to day charge of Ralph Winstanley’s treatment, for many years, before he was killed on 23rd April 2004. (0n Dr David J Brown's list 1984-2004)

2 It is fact that Dr David J Brown noted, twelve years before that time, that Ralph Winstanley had mental difficulties. In his Medical Records in 1992 Dr David J Brown wrote:

“06/03/1992 LOSS OF MEMORY 4 EPISODES IN 14 YEARS Dr D Brown”

So Dr David J Brown was fully aware that Ralph Winstanley had mental difficulties. He had been aware of these difficulties for at least 12 years. I note that the extract from my father’s medical record – above – also states that my father had tinnitus. I believe that tinnitus is one of the recognised difficulties in Dementia. Did Dr Brown already know by then (06/03/1992) that my father had Dementia?

Certainly someone was involved in my father’s medical care when he was stripped of control over his own financial and property affairs on 25th February 1991, at Doncaster County Court, by Judge Lingard. My father’s medical records show that he was a patient of Dr David J Brown from 1984 until his death.

3 It is fact that Dr David J Brown wrote a letter on 28 May 2004, to Mr Jonathan Goodwin, solicitor, of Bridge Sanderson Munro, Doncaster.

(This was only one month after Ralph Winstanley had been killed.) It was written in respect of a very dubious will which Dr David J Brown seems to have been involved in, stating:

“I saw Mr Winstanley in December, twice in January, twice in February and three times in March and at no time during that period did any question arise regarding impairment of his mental health.”

This man, who is, in my opinion a charlatan, even had the brass cheek to state that:

“..6 years ago I was recognised as having special skills in examining patients under the Mental Health Act, becoming a Section 12 approved doctor under that act and I confirm that with my special experience in mental health examinations, during the time when Mr Winstanley was preparing his will, no doubts arose concerning his mental state, although I did not undertake a formal examination of his mental health as such.”

Since he claims these qualifications he should also realise that they were set in place to prevent over-inflated statements such as the one above. In fact The Mental Health Act 1983 requires two doctors to agree at two separate formal consultations, about the state of a person’s mental health. That is one of the reasons why I believe him to be a charlatan.

Another reason is that this letter seems to show that Dr David J Brown was fully aware, at the time that the will was supposed to have been drawn up, that this was happening. Why was that? What was his involvement? On the other hand, Ralph Winstanley seems not to have known anything about this ‘will’ - or about his imminent demise - during his lifetime. Why not, I wonder?

Perhaps Dr David J Brown can explain, though he has refused to do so, so far?

4 It is fact that in another letter,

written by Dr David J Brown on 1st June 2004, to Mrs Hedge, Complaints Manager at the PCTs he states that he was on leave for the last few days of my father’s life. That is also a lie, since he was signing prescriptions in his surgery on the 22nd April 2004 and I have proof of it.

My father died on 23rd April 2004.

5 It is fact that, in the letter of 1st June 2004, he also waffles on about my father’s supposed ‘oesophageal cancer’ and ‘heart failure’ – neither of which he had.

This, set against my father’s Pathology Report, seems to show that this man decided that my father’s time to die had arrived. My father seems to have had no say in the matter, since he was already well-drugged with morphine before the final assault was made, which killed him. And when the final assault was made, my father stated, on numerous occasions over the first 36 hours of his so-called ‘treatment’, that he ‘was not in any pain’. My sister and I can both attest to this.

Dr David J Brown seems to have decided to play God, with a man who was not dying – and he seems to have decided to do it by pretending that he was away on holiday and using Dr Sykes either as a willing participant or as a ‘cat’s paw’.

You will notice that Dr Brown seems confident in stating that:

“Those involved in his final days were in full agreement regarding the malignant cancerous nature of his underlying problems and that efforts must be directed towards his comfort by relieving his pain and distress as the underlying cause was beyond medical cure.”

That statement is utter tosh. My father was not in any pain – except for the mild discomfort of indigestion – which he was relieving by moving round the room to shift it and then belching. Nor was he distressed, until after the drugs cocktail kicked in.

At that point, realising in his morphine-fuddled state, that there was something amiss with the skin of this thighs, he tried to pull out the syringe-driver needles, which had been stuck down on each of his thighs. This was construed, by Dr Rachel S Sykes, as “terminal agitation”. Writing this in his medical record, she increased the doses of drugs, until they finally killed him.

I am stating this because I saw it happen and protested that it was happening, once I had realised that he was not dying of his own accord.

This letter also moves into the realms of the ‘Godlike’, in the statement:

“At no point did Mr Winstanley, his wife or any other person seek to shorten his life in any way.”

How did Dr Brown know that? He has already stated, in the same letter, that he was not there. Not only was he not there but presumably he also did not know what was going on in the minds of other people, who were there. Did he?

(The effect of his “‘O’ level” in Mental Health seems to have given him delusions of psychiatric grandeur.)

Page two, para. 2 of Dr David J Brown's letter states information, which Dr Brown could not possibly have known, in respect of my father’s Post Mortem and Pathology Report, since the Pathology Report was not finally produced until 3rd February 2005 – ten months after my father’s death – and nine months after the letter above was written. And when the Pathology Report was produced, it did not bear out the statement in his letter:

“I understand that the post-mortem examinations undertaken so far have cast no doubt on the adequacy of his treatment nor the cancerous nature of his gastro-intestinal problems.”

Dr David J Brown must have been fully aware, when that letter was written, that my father’s Pathology report would not show gastro intestinal cancer.

With the letter above, was a Statement, dated 16th May 2004.

You will notice that it states how Dr Brown was struck by my father’s ‘continuing decline’.

Does such a ‘decline’ coupled with Dr Brown’s entry in my father’s Medical Record, that he definitely had oesophageal cancer (15th March 2004) - when he did not - presuppose that my father had no right to die when his own body had come to the end of life?

Or does Dr Brown always insist that patients will die tidily at just the time when he says they will?

In that case, how many other of his patients have died tidily?

6 It is fact that Dr David J Brown was fully aware that Ralph Winstanley’s life – including his health - was being run by Nina Clayton, who together with her younger daughter, Rosemary Cheesman, also seems to have had her hands on his financial affairs, all without the knowledge of his blood relatives, all of whom were readily contactable, if only through his own younger daughter, Linda Kirby, who saw him regularly, or his elder daughter Charlotte Peters Rock, who saw him occasionally.

7 It is fact that there are various notes in Ralph Winstanley’s GP Medical Records, which show that he did not control his own affairs, and that Dr David J Brown was fully aware of that. It was often not Ralph Winstanley but Nina Clayton who consulted Dr David J Brown. One note, as far back as 28th March 1994, (ten years before he was killed), states:

“28/03/1994 CONSULTATION BY PROXY (RELATIVE SEEN) Wife Dr D Brown”

Dr David J Brown was fully aware, because of regular consultation made by Nina Clayton, that Ralph Winstanley also seems not to have had full control over his medical treatment.

This letter, written by Dr David J Brown on 8th April 1994, illustrates my father's lack of control over his own medical treatment.

Protesting that there was nothing wrong with his hearing, my father was, for ‘slight hearing loss’, forced to have two large National Health hearing aids, because Nina Clayton decided he should.

That happened within four months of the complaint, which she made on 28/03/1994.

My sister and I did not see father wearing them, except once, on 11th April 2006 when he was rushed ("dying" - as we were told), into Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where nothing was found to be wrong with him. None of his various photographs show him to have been wearing them.

His hearing was fine.. if he wanted to hear. Even as he was being killed, he could hear us perfectly well – and he wasn’t wearing hearing aids. They were on the table.

He’d always had the ability to shut out noises he didn’t want to hear. He was noted for it. Perhaps he couldn’t stand Nina Clayton’s noises?

8 It is fact that Dr David J Brown was fully aware that Ralph Winstanley had had two endoscopies with biopsies in 2004 - which had not shown cancer in his oesophagus or stomach - because Dr David J Brown had sent him for them.

They took place on 13th January 2004,

following which in a letter dated 10.2.04, the Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist, Dr G James stated:

"In fact biopsies have shown mostly inflammatory exudate and granulation tissue with no evidence of dysplasia or neoplasia. In view of this I think he should be treated with Lansoprazole 30mg daily and rather than bring him back to clinic I have arranged a further endoscopy in 6 weeks to ensure things are improving."

"neoplasia" means "tumour"; "dysplasia" means "abnormal development or growth of tissues"; "malignant" means "threatening to life, virulent, cancerous"

and 10th March 2004,

"There is no evidence of dysplasia or malignancy. A fungal stain is negative."

These results showed that there was nothing wrong with Ralph Winstanley’s stomach nor with his oesophagus – except for a healing ulcer.

This information was also readily available in Ralph Winstanley’s computerised GP Medical Records, at Dr David J Brown’s Field Road Surgery and at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

So why did Dr David J Brown make the following note in Ralph Winstanley's GP Medical Records on 15th March 2004? He stated firmly:

"15/03/2004 oesophageal cancer see 2nd endoscopy report Dr D Brown"

What was happening here? Deprived of his entire finances; and ‘desitute’, so his daughters were informed with much glee by Nina Clayton as he finally died, had Ralph Winstanley become economically unviable? Dr David J Brown, seems to have shown so much inaccurate interest in his so-called ‘will’. Why is that?

9 It is fact that because of this takeover of his life, Ralph Winstanley was assaulted, during the last miserable 6 days and nights of his life, by treatment which he neither wanted nor needed. This resulted in his death because of that so-called ‘treatment’. His death was achieved using lies, to an on-call doctor service, whose doctors didn’t bother to turn out, whilst prescribing a Class 1, cocktail of noxious drugs. Had Dr David J Brown not prescribed Oramorph, four days before the syringe-drivers went in, my father would have been able to resist this assault. As it was, he was a pushover.

10 It is fact that my father was taken from being totally ambulant and reasonably sensibly spoken and killed.

Nursing sisters who did turn out, listened to Nina Clayton’s lies and Rosemary Cheesman’s lies and did as they were told – by an on-call doctor service, (which had also listened to their lies). which did not feel that it was essential to actually see the patient before prescribing a noxious cocktail of Diamorphine, Haloperidol and Midazolam, to be delivered through not one but two syringe-drivers – which effectively forced my father to be bed-bound.

This had the effect of taking a man who had been upright:

A walking, sitting and standing up again, completely unaided;
B speaking reasonably sensibly;
C recognising everyone who came into the room;
D eating, drinking
E able to swallow tablets and other medicine;

and making him completely bed-bound. It is very difficult to get about when attached to TWO syringe-drivers – though he tried, even as the drugs took effect.

11 It is fact, supported by my father’s GP Medical Records and his Hospital Records and by Dr Kevin Lee’s letter of 18th May 2004, that Nina Clayton was lying in her teeth about the state of my father. She stated over and over again that he was:

“in terrible pain and was being dreadfully sick and fetching up blood”.

In spite of the evidence of my father being in front of them and
a not retching nor trying to retch,
b no smell of sickness in the room,
c no agitation apparent at the time when they saw him,
these nurses were at the very least, unprofessional enough to carry on with the killing.

Nina Clayton’s statements were untrue. I quietly told the nurses that my father was not tring to be sick nor fetching up any blood. They could see it – and smell it (or it's absense) - for themselves. They refused to listen. There was no doctor, to listen. No doctor came into the house until the arrival of Dr Sykes, more than 24 hours after the drugs cocktail had been forced continuously into my father.

When Dr Rachel Sykes arrived, she also took no notice of anything I said, except to put me down as a nuisance, as most of the nurses also had done. This is recorded in the nursing records, of which I have a copy.

The only exception I would make to this comment, was in respect of the Marie Curie Nurse who was with my father three nights running. She did report to her base that there were problems to do with my father’s care and that we were objecting to what was happening. I have a copy of this report.

We were told over and over again that he was dying - by doctors, by Nina Clayton and her daughter and son-in-law and by nurses.

However, some of the nurses did express surprise that he was still alive as the days and nights wore on.

In particular, the Marie Curie Nurse who came in overnight on 19th 20th and 21st April 2004 – and who is very used to nursing dying patients - was startled to see that my father was still alive, as the nights wore on – which surely must give some idea of the strength of the man and indicates that he had not been dying?

Your Primary Care Trust – the one for which YOU are on the Executive Committee – the one which is supposed to look after patient’s’ health – the one for which my father's GP, Dr David J Brown is the Caldicott Guardian as well as Chairman of the Executive – was instrumental in killing a man, who had not been dying.

That is the effect of information, written by Dr Kevin Lee, on 18th May 2004,

YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THIS LETTER CONFIRMS THAT NO DOCTOR CAME TO SEE MY FATHER BEFORE THE DRUGS COCKTAIL WAS PRESCRIBED – AS MY SISTER AND I CAN ALSO TESTIFY SINCE WE WERE WITH MY FATHER FOR THE WHOLE OF THAT TIME.

It also confirms the part played by Dr Bundy.

We were however, completely unaware of the lies being told to Dr Lee, since the telephone is at the opposite end of the house.

We were told that my father was dying. We believed it, initially.

Who wouldn’t believe such a statement, especially seeing the squads of nurses trooping through the house?

Even Dr Rachel Sykes, when she finally called on the following day, told us he was ‘terminally ill’ and was ‘dying of oesophageal and stomach cancer’.

DR KEVIN LEE’S LETTER ALSO CONFIRMS THE LIES TOLD BY
NINA CLAYTON AND HER DAUGHTER,ROSEMARY CHEESMAN
ABOUT A MAN WHO MOST CERTAINLY
DID NOT HAVE HEART FAILURE
NOR OESOPHAGEAL NOR STOMACH CANCER.
NOR HAD HE BEEN DISTRESSED OVERNIGHT.

12 It is fact that the GP Medical Records are misleading

The extract below, from my father’s GP Medical record, seems to indicate - for some reason – that my father had actually been ‘SEEN’ by a co-operative doctor. NO co-operative doctor SAW my father at all. Dr Lee’s letter confirms this.

My sister was with him from 4am. He was not distressed when she arrived – merely asking her what she was doing there. When she said, “I just thought I’d come and see you”, he accepted that.
We did not see him in a distressed condition at all, until several hours AFTER the first syringe driver had gone into his right thigh, and he was also given several further injections.
In fact I had made a note in my book that I thought he was ‘unnaturally calm’. My sister and I were unaware, at that time that he was already doped-up with the 4-hourly oral morphine, which Dr Brown prescribed to him four days before. Perhaps that accounted for his unnatural calmness?

My sister was with him from 4am on 18th April 2004. I joined them at 9.30am, having been telephoned at 7am. HE WAS VERY CALM – AND NOT AT ALL DISTRESSED – all day and over night on Sunday - and well into Monday. He did try to pull out the first syringe-driver needle. He seemed to be trying to work out what it was doing in his leg. He obviously didn’t understand what was happening to him. On Monday, he was still getting out of bed and walking round the room. We carried first one and then both of the syringe-driver cases, to allow him to do this.

13 It is fact that in respect of his supposed ‘heart failure’ his Pathology Report states:

"CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM
The heart (363g) was dilated. There was focal moderate coronary artery atheroma involving the anteror descending branch of the left coronary vessel. The myocardium was macroscopically normal on section. The valves were normal. The systematic vasculature was atheromatous consistent with age."

BY THE TIME HE GAVE IN AND DIED, HE HAD STRUGGLED THROUGH SIX DAYS AND NIGHTS RESISTING DEATH WHEN HE WAS BEING PUMPED FULL OF NOXIOUS DRUGS AND GIVEN NO FOOD NOR FLUID; WHICH SHOWS HOW WELL HIS HEART WAS WORKING.

The precious, publicly paid for resources, nurses and doctors of three NHS Trusts, were used to complete the killing of my father, as Dr David J Brown is fully aware.

14 It is fact that Dr David J Brown was, in control of the treatment which Ralph Winstanley received, since Ralph Winstanley was under his care when he died on 23rd April 2004

15 It is fact that Dr David J Brown dispensed Oramorph (morphine-by-mouth), every 4 hours, to Ralph Winstanley on 14th April 2004, for no discernable recorded reason. The only problem with which Ralph Winstanley presented was that he couldn’t sleep lying down – and that he was trying to recover from recent chemotherapy.

Since he had just completed another course of Fludarabine, (on 10/11 April), in his successful treatment for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia, I suppose he could be expected to be feeling some effects of what is, after all, a noxious drug. Couldn’t he? One of those effects could be expected to be unwillingness to eat. Morphine would hardly help with that, would it?

On the other hand it did make Ralph Winstanley a pushover, when it came to the time to fill him up with Diamorphine, Haloperidol and Midazolam, following lies told to the on-call doctors service.

16 It is fact (shown in the extract below, taken from his GP Medical Records), that my father’s heart was found to be in good condition at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and that any pain was thought to be ‘musculo-skeletal’ in origin.

17 It is fact that my father had no pain when he arrived in hospital. That is stated in the extract.

18 It is fact that he was discharged without treatment. It is stated here.
"The presenting complaint was: GEN UNWELL BILATERAL CENTRAL CHEST PAIN TODAY CONSCIOUS, WARM TO TOUCH, NO PAIN AT PRESENT The following treatment was given: (this part was left blank, indicating that no treatment had been given)"

Dr David J Brown wrote in his Medical Record that Ralph Winstanley had been seen at Doncaster Royal Infirmary over the weekend (11 April 2004), for chest pain. On the other hand Ralph Winstanley had stated to both of this daughters at DRI that he had had no pain. He made it obvious that he didn’t know why he was at DRI. His breathing had been OK. Not laboured. Nor was he gasping for breath.

I have recently been handed a copy of the actual Doncaster Royal Infirmary Report on my father, when he was admitted to the Accident and Emergency Unit on 11th April 2004. The relevant part is reproduced below:

It states: "LYMPHATIC LEUKAEMIA - HYPOTENSION - PT c/o PAINS STOMACH SINCE YESTERDAY (??) AND APPEARS CONFUSED GENERALLY UNWELL DI.. (DIZZY?) NOT c/o PAIN AT MOMENT
WIFE TRAVELLED WITH PT"

Other parts of his record state that
he had no pains radiating down his left arm, jaw, back
he had no shortage of breath
he had no recent cough
he had no diarrhoea
he had no vomiting
he had no pain now

So what was he doing there? He stated several timesthat he didn't want to be there.. that he wanted to go home.

Since he had no pain, who told the ambulance service and the hospital staff that he had had pain?

And why did they do that?

My sister, Linda, had been with father from around 9am until around 3pm (6 hours), on that day. He had no stomach pains then. He went out with her and ate a hearty meal. They were celebrating her birthday. He had not been 'confused'. It is interesting to speculate what had happened to him - after Linda left him - to make him so confused that he had to be admitted to hospital - by ambulance - on oxygen - with the statement from Nina Clayton, that "he was dying".

Yet, three hours later he was discharged with no treatment - except for a paracetamol - and two cups of tea for the relatives.

Having been keen to leave ever since he had arrived, he was quickly taken home by Nina Clayton, who refused the offer of a lift from Ralph's two daughters.

The other peculiarity which appears on the form at Doncaster Royal Infirmary is contained within the extract below:

It is interesting to speculate who told both the Ambulance service and the Accident and Emergency Department these false details about my father:

"Terminal CA (cancer) Patient unaware".

Did they come from my father's GP Medical Record? If so, there is nothing in the current version of his medical record to state that he had 'terminal' anything.

Perhaps the 'wife' who travelled with the patient told the ambulance personel that her husband had terminal cancer?

It seems reasonably certain that the patient didn't tell them, since he is not supposed to have known.

19 It is fact that two of Dr David J Brown’s colleagues were instrumental in Ralph Winstanley’s death, since:

a Dr Jonathan Bundy was, (according to Dr Kevin Lee’s letter of 18th May 2004 - above), involved in the prescribing of part of the drugs cocktail delivered - unusually - through two syringe-drivers, when Ralph Winstanley was perfectly capable of taking medication by mouth at the time, and continued to be capable even 36 hours after those drugs began to infiltrate his reasoning. Neither Dr Jonathan Bundy nor Dr Kevin Lee nor any other doctor, saw Ralph Winstanley, before prescribing these drugs.

No doctor saw Ralph Winstanley, until the drugs cocktail had been going into him for over 24 hours.

Dr Bundy works both at the Field Road Practice of Dr David J Brown and during his spare time he makes extra money at Danum Doctors Services Ltd, along with Dr Kevin Lee (and Dr Paul D Wilson also of Field Road Surgery). I note that Dr Bundy is also a GP Representative on the Executive Committee of Doncaster East PCT.

b Dr Rachel S Sykes, was nominally in charge of Ralph Winstanley’s treatment,
She didn’t turn up to see him until 24 hours after the first syringe-driver, containing Diamorphine and Haloperidol, was set up and running and Midazolam had already been injected into him – as he was also continued on Oramorph, on first the nurses’ and then Dr Sykes’ instruction.

When Ralph Winstanley tried, (19 April 2004) ineffectually in his already badly drugged state, to pull out the needles, it was Dr Rachel S Sykes who raised the drug dosages, stating that he was receiving ‘terminal care’.

As you can see from this extract of his GP Medical Record, there had been no mention of ‘terminal care’ on the 16th April when she had previously seen him. We certainly never heard my father requesting this ‘terminal care’. What he did say was that he was not in any pain.

So what sort of ‘care’ is this, that terminates the life of a man who states that he is in no pain, by the use of an enforced cocktail of noxious drugs?

Dr Rachel S Sykes also stated, several times and quite positively, to both of Ralph Winstanley’s own blood daughters, that he was dying of oesophageal and stomach cancer, as she continued with the ‘treatment’ of Diamorphine, Haloperidol and Midazolam, which was still going into his body as he finally died.

20 It is fact that the ‘pain relief’ mentioned in this extract from my father’s GP Medical Records – above – was shoved into a man who stated over and over again that he was “in no pain".

SO WHY INCREASE THE DIAMORPHINE IN THE DRUGS COCKTAIL BY HALF AS MUCH AGAIN?

(The added 20mg DIAMORPHINE is equivalent to 60mg more of MORPHINE. That raised my father’s enforced intake of DIAMORPHINE to 60mg. That is equivalent to 180mg of MORPHINE.)

(At the same time was also subjected to the enforced intake of 10mg HALOPERIDOL and 60mg of MIDAZOLAM, WHILST BOTH FOOD AND FLUID WERE WITHHELD, AS HE STRUGGLED, THROUGH THE APRIL HEATWAVE, TO STAY ALIVE.)

What was Dr Rachel Sykes hoping to achieve by this action? What she did achieve was my father’s permanent relapse into unconsciousness – until he was dead.

21 It is fact that I HAD ASKED FOR A SPECIALIST SECOND OPINION, WHEN I HAD SPOKEN TO DR TONY BAXTER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC HEALTH FOR DONCASTER EAST PCT. THE ONLY ‘SPECIALIST SECOND OPINION’ WAS GIVEN BY DR GILL HARDING, MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF ST JOHN’S HOSPICE.

22 It is fact that Dr Gill Harding IS NOT A SPECIALIST IN OESOPHAGEAL OR STOMACH CANCER. WHEN MY SISTER AND I SAW HER, ON 22ND APRIL 2004, SHE ALSO LIED, BY STATING THAT MY FATHER HAD OESOPHAGEAL AND STOMACH CANCER, WHEN HE HAD NO SUCH THING. Either she hadn’t bothered to check her facts or she was lying deliberately. Which is it?

23 It is fact that ten months after he was deliberately killed, Ralph Winstanley’s Pathology Report, showed that there had been nothing wrong with his oesophagus nor with his stomach.

24 It is fact that this smart-arse doctor, Dr David J Brown, has refused over and over again to deal in a sensible or professional way with the concerned blood family of Ralph Winstanley, even initially, though as a family GP he is supposed to do this as a matter of course.

25 It is fact that Dr David J Brown was – and still is - Caldicott Guardian for the very Trust, (Doncaster East Primary Care Trust), which holds Ralph Winstanley’s Medical Records. He was thus in a position, both as his GP - with full control of the original GP Medical Records, which also contained part of someone else’s record to hide and block my necessary access to my father's medical records.

26 It is fact that someone else’s GP Medical Record is contained within Ralph Winstanley’s GP Medical Record.

AS YOU CAN SEE, THE RECORD ABOVE – WHICH IS CONTAINED WITHIN Ralph Winstanley’s GP Medical Record, actually belongs to Mark Gale, who was born in 1968 – and whose Health number is 490 369 7169 – or not, depending how you view it. That is the Health Number of Ralph Winstanley as well.

Would that be the Mark Gale, who lives with Ann Gale at Doncaster 7? Or is it the Mark Gale who lives with Lorraine at Doncaster 12? I intend to write and ask them both. It will be interesting to see how they react to such details being found in someone else’s Medical Record. How safe will they then feel that their records are, in your hands?

You must realise that these records will have been seen by numerous people by now, including various members of South Yorkshire Police, an assortment of people at two Coroner’s offices, the staff at the Healthcare Commission – and also of course by Ralph Winstanley’s bemused family.

There is also the question of “what was removed" from Ralph Winstanley’s record, in order to substitute this record which should be in Mark Gale’s file?

It indicates a rather slapdash approach by Dr David J Brown’s Surgery, doesn’t it?

I understand that these records will eventually appear on the NHS ‘National Spine’, where all sorts of medical workers will be allowed access to see that Ralph Winstanley was claimed to have a particular medical condition, whereas Mark Gale possibly was not. Of course it wouldn’t matter to Mark Gale, if he is also dead; but since he was only born in 1968, I suppose that’s not likely?

27 It is fact that there is also an assortment (14), of ‘No Data Recorded’ indications, within Ralph Winstanley’s GP Medical Records.

REPEATED REQUESTS TO THE PRIMARY CARE TRUST AND TO DR DAVID J BROWN FOR AN EXPLANATION OF MY FATHER’S MEDICAL RECORDS, HAVE MET WITH REBUFF. I know this to be illegal under the Access to Health Records Act 1990

28 It is fact that Dr David J Brown, as Ralph Winstanley’s GP and as Caldicott Guardian, Doncaster East PCT, seems to be the person who has allowed improperly presented records to be released.

They were released to the Police and to the Coroner – and I believe also to the Healthcare Commission - in a state, which according to the Access to Health Records Act 1990 makes them illegal.

Because of missing information which should be in those records, it is obvious that they have been tampered with, by someone. This act is also illegal. Dr David J Brown has been informed of this, as were the Chief Executives (all four of them) of Doncaster East and Doncaster Central Primary Care Trusts. (Simon Morrit - who moved to West Yorkshire Strategic Health Authority; Jayne Brown - who moved to North and East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire Strategic Health Authority; and the present Chief Excecutives, Ann Ballarini - Doncaster Central PCT and Christine Boswell, Doncaster East PCT)

These are facts for which I have documentary proof. So far as I am aware, nothing has been done to set these matters straight.

Certainly all the signs were set in place ready for my father’s death.

A False entries were made in my father’s GP Medical Records – stating that he had oesophageal cancer, when he did not.

B An emergency trip was made by Ambulance, to hospital (DRI), on 11th April 2004, for which my father needed no treatment whatsoever, as the hospital and ambulance records show. When my sister and I saw him within 30 minutes of his admission to hospital he was sitting quietly on a hospital trolley, looking puzzled and asking to go home

C He was an already-drugged patient because 4-hourly Oramorph had been prescribed by Dr David J Brown on 14th April 2004. He was waiting – unknowingly - for the needles and drugs to take him out of life altogether.

D There was an on-call doctor service whose doctors didn’t bother to turn out

E The stand-in GP was prepared to lie, or to guess rather than to check her facts – unless she had been presented with false evidence.

F The Medical Director of a hospice, was prepared also to lie rather than to check her facts – unless she had been presented with false evidence.

G The Director of Public Health, of a Primary Care Trust, Mr Tony Baxter, who seems to have the notion that an ‘expert second opinion’ on Oesophageal Cancer can be supplied by a woman whose job is to help people to die, not to examine whether OR NOT they might have been dying of oesophageal cancer, at all.

H A series of NHS Trusts, whose Directors do not seem to understand the word ‘morality’ – but who understand well how to wall themselves off from the public which they purport to serve.

I A General Medical Council which seems to be content to sit on its backside and do nothing to investigate malpractice

J A Nursing & Midwifery Council which does likewise

K A police force (South Yorkshire), and two Chief Constables, (Mike Hedges and Meredydd Hughes), which will not investigate a suspicious death – unless a Coroner asks it to – in spite of the legal right of the Chief Constable to act independently of the Coroner. (This same force claims to have the lowest murder rate in the country. Is it any wonder?)

L Two Coroners who will not allow evidence to be presented and will not ask the police force to investigate a suspicious death. Moreover, two Coroners, having been friends for 20 years, who meet in secret at each other’s homes, whilst their office staff assure the relatives that these people would not have contact as documents are passed over.

M A firm of solicitors which is prepared to take public health money in order to threaten innocent members of the public, whose relative is killed – when he had not been dying nor close to death.

N A senior Court which loses documents and delays action, whilst instigating responses, out of time, (against their own rules and remit as Court Staff), from solicitors who have not bothered to do their jobs.

I wonder how many other tidy deaths have taken place in the Doncaster area? The ‘field seems ripe for exploitation.

Have there been other deaths in Doncaster, where the one who is ‘helped to die’ has already had his affairs taken from him and fraudulently disposed of?

Does the Doncaster Coroner who scatters Interim Death Certificates like confetti, (6 Interim Death certificates, were, I understand handed out in the full realisation that there was a ‘caveat’ on Ralph Winstanley’s Estate), whilst stalling the concerned relatives, get paid for it? Is that really the reason why we employ Coroners?

Are the police paid for their deliberate lack of action? The original Chief Constable has retired, where apparently he becomes ‘untouchable’ by the law; keeping both his Queen’s Medal and his large pension. So much for Democracy!

What about the doctors?

It is certain that the two original Chief Executives, Jayne Brown of Doncaster East PCT and Simon Morrit of Doncaster Central PCT have moved on to better jobs with more pay, during the time that my family and I have been fighting for justice because of our father’s killing. These people are still sitting on records, which I have formally asked for – and which might show what drugs were actually prescribed for my father, (other than the ones which we know about.)

Nina Clayton’s dead-head daughter, Rosemary Cheesman, and son-in-law, Frazer Cheesman, who did such sterling work in helping to get drugs from across a wide area of Doncaster (son-in-law), and in backing up Nina Clayton’s lies, (younger daughter), seem to have done rather well out of it all, as did the ‘poor grieving widow’, when she was finally relieved of her burden – my father.

Perhaps as the Executive Committee for a National Health Trust you are all happy to serve on a committee under the Chairmanship of Dr David J Brown? In that case, you are condoning his actions and are all tarred with the same brush.

Perhaps you would consider that the life of each person is precious to that person?

Ralph Winstanley has been dead for 21 months. He seems first to have been stripped of all he possessed – and was certainly stripped of his dignity by the woman who had him killed. This killing was achieved by the use of NHS Trusts – and by certain of the people employed within them – and covered up by people such as you.

Unless you do something positive to bring Dr David J Brown to account for his actions, you are no better than he is. There is also the question of the other doctors who were involved in this death – and the nurses, especially those who it can be demonstrated, altered the records. One of them seems to be under thumb of Nina Clayton and lives close to where my father was killed. With her husband, she runs two Care Homes.

Unless a transparent, thorough, formal investigation is instigated, (to include full evidence which my sister, brothers and I have managed to collate), into what happened to Ralph Winstanley – and why it happened, you will be leaving every vulnerable patient in your area at risk – as they have certainly been for more than 21 months, since Ralph Winstanley was deliberately killed.

But perhaps the syringe is waiting just around the corner for you as well?

That is not a threat by me to you. I do not wield syringes.

I would prefer that in future it is not a threat to anyone else either.

What are you going to do to ensure that?

The documents inserted in this letter show precisely what I was writing about when it was originally sent to you.

My next course of action will be to send it all to the Press.

Make no mistake, this matter will not be over until all aspects of my father’s death are carefully considered and action is taken against those people responsible.

If any more threats are issued by the solicitors Beachcroft Wansbroughs – or anyone else - against my person or against my reputation, such threats will be actively resisted.

So far they have been attacking my own space by sending their threats into my home, which has been under siege for nearly two years now, since my father was murdered in front of me and I began to object to that murder.

My reputation has also been attacked in libellous letters, one to my to internet service provider – which was good enough to supply me with a copy of the letter which was sent, by Beachcroft Wansbroughs.

I will not lie down before any more threats. They will rebound onto you personally.

If you intend to do anything, to set matters straight and to bring about justice for the death of my father and a greater measure of safety for the public which needs medical help, I will expect to hear of it by the end of the week (17th February 2006).

This has now been superseded by this letter from Alan Wittrick, Acting Chief Executive, SYSHA. Therefore I am going to ask the press for help now.

This arrived today, 25th January 2006, via the email of someone called Gaenor Jackson, who works at Frank Allen Pennington, solicitors, of Doncaster. It seems to be from
Martin Pennington.

Perhaps I should ask him why he feels the need to be so 'shadowy'? Aren't all solicitors 'Officers of the Court', and therefore not shadowy? Ah well! We have received your further e-mail.

We will not respond for the reasons set out in the last e-mail and previous e-mails which are quite clear. We would only make one further point at this time. If you publicise, by whatever means, defamatory information as to this firms handling of your late fathers affairs, including litigation, either against individual members or the partnership as a whole, we will issue immediate injunction proceedings against you together with a claim for damages.

You will appreciate that such proceedings will incur substantial penalty in both costs and damages.

It is therefore appropriate that we put you "on notice" of the partners intention to deal with any defamatory allegations in the most robust manner possible.

If you have any doubts about this firms position in relation to the release of information as to the affairs of Ralph Winstanley we strongly recommend you take legal advice on the issue as it is abundantly clear that you cannot (or will not) accept what we say about our professional duty both to your late father and his Estate.

We are sending a copy of this e-mail to your sister for her information, as she also does not appear to understand this firms professional position.

If you or your sister continue to bombard this firm with e-mails the partners will have to consider what action should be taken to restrain you from this course of action.

So it has been necessary to threaten two of Ralph Winstanley's daughters (his only daughters), with one email. I'm sure you will be thinking:

"Whatever have they done?"

Well, they went to see Martin Pennington, just after their father, Ralph Winstanley had been killed.

They said: "What on earth do you think you're doing?" He declined to answer.

They said: "We will find out".

They asked other questions.. about their father and their younger brother. That is what they did.

They also saw for themselves how Pennington and Jarand (Godfrey William Mackenzie)(from Nottingham), conducted themselves in the Appeal Court, against, Richard Winstanley, the persecuted younger son of Martin Pennington's now long-deceased 'client', Ralph Wnstanley.

Jarand was - so I understand - heard speaking to the Yorkshire Post reporter - after the Court Hearing. Presumably, he was speaking on behalf of his client, Martin Pennington, of Frank Allen Pennington, of Doncaster? Perhaps the next posting will tell you what was overheard. It was not pleasant... but it was certainly informative.

Keep dropping by.. and I might tell you what questions Ralph Winstanley's daughters asked of Martin Pennington. I might also put the complete transcript of the Court Hearing at Sheffield Appeal Court (6th January 2006) on this site. It makes very interesting reading.

An open letter to The Executive Committee of Doncaster East Primary Care Trust

In respect of Dr David J Brown of Field Road Surgery, Stainforth

When Dr David J Brown was taken on as Chairman of Doncaster East Primary Care Trust, Executive Committee, did he first give you the facts in relation to his dead patient Ralph Winstanley?

In agreeing to pay him for being the Chairman of the Executive Committee was account taken of:

The fact that Dr David J Brown was the GP in overall and day to day charge of Ralph Winstanley’s treatment when he was killed on 23rd April 2004.

The fact that Dr David J Brown noted that Ralph Winstanley had difficulties with his memory. In his Medical Records in 1992 Dr David J Brown wrote:

“06/03/1992 LOSS OF MEMORY 4 EPISODES IN 14 YEARS Dr D Brown”

So Dr David J Brown was fully aware that Ralph Winstanley had mental difficulties. He had been aware of at least these difficulties for at least 12 years.

The fact that Dr David J Brown wrote a letter, (28 May 2004), to Mr Jonathan Goodwin, solicitor, of Bridge Sanderson Munro, Doncaster, only one month after Ralph Winstanley had been killed, in respect of a very dubious will which he seems to have been involved in, stating,

“I saw Mr Winstanley in December, twice in January, twice in February and three times in March and at no time during that period did any question arise regarding impairment of his mental health.”

This man, who is, in my opinion a charlatan, even had the brass cheek to state that:

“..6 years ago I was recognised as having special skills in examining patients under the Mental Health Act, becoming a Section 12 approved doctor under that act and I confirm that with my special experience in mental health examinations, during the time when Mr Winstanley was preparing his will, no doubts arose concerning his mental state, although I did not undertake a formal examination of his mental health as such.”

Since he claims these qualifications he should also realise that they were set in place to prevent over-inflated statements such as the one above. In fact the Mental Health Act 1990 requires two doctors to agree at two separate formal consultations, about the state of a person’s mental health. That is one of the reasons why I believe him to be a charlatan.

The fact that he was fully aware that Ralph Winstanley’s life – including his health - was being run by Nina Clayton, who together with her younger daughter, Rosemary Cheesman, also had her hands on his financial affairs, all without the knowledge of his blood relatives, all of whom were readily contactable, if only through his own younger daughter, Linda Kirby, who saw him regularly.

There are various notes in Ralph Winstanley’s medical records which show that he did not control his own affairs, and that Dr David J Brown was fully aware of that. It was often not Ralph Winstanley but Nina Clayton who consulted Dr David J Brown. One note, as far back as 28th March 1994 states:

“28/03/1994 CONSULTATION BY PROXY (RELATIVE SEEN) Wife Dr D Brown”

Dr David J Brown was fully aware, because of regular consultation made by Nina Clayton, that Ralph Winstanley also did not have any control over his medical treatment.

The fact that Dr David J Brown was fully aware that Ralph Winstanley had had two endoscopies with biopsies in 2004 - which had both been returned clear - because Dr David J Brown had sent him for them.

They took place on 13th January and 10th March, with results which showed that there was nothing wrong with Ralph Winstanley’s stomach nor with his oesophagus. This information was also readily available in Ralph Winstanley’s computerised Medical Records, at Dr David J Brown’s Field Road Surgery and at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. So why did Dr David J Brown make the note in Ralph Winstanley’s Medical records on 15th March 2004, stating firmly:

“15/03/2004 oesophageal cancer see 2nd endoscopy report Dr D Brown”?
(The question mark is mine. There was no question mark in the medical record.)

Was he trying to push Ralph Winstanley into his grave? Deprived of his entire finances, had Ralph Winstanley become economically unviable to Dr David J Brown, who seems to have shown so much interest in his so-called ‘will’?

The fact that because of this takeover of his life, Ralph Winstanley was assaulted by treatment which he neither wanted nor needed. This resulted in his death because of that so-called ‘treatment’. His death was achieved using, lies to an on-call doctor service, whose doctors didn’t bother to turn out, whilst prescribing a cocktail of noxious drugs. The precious, publicly paid for resources, nurses and doctors of three NHS Trusts, were used to complete this killing, as Dr David J Brown is fully aware.

The fact that Dr David J Brown was in control of the treatment which Ralph Winstanley received, since Ralph Winstanley was under his care when he died on 23rd April 2004.

The fact that he dispensed Oramorph (morphine-by-mouth), every 4 hours, to Ralph Winstanley on 14th April 2004, for no discernable recorded reason. The only problem with which Ralph Winstanley presented was that he couldn’t sleep lying down. Since he had just completed another course of Fludarabine, in his successful treatment for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia, I suppose he could be expected to be feeling some effects of what is, after all, a noxious drug. Couldn’t he? One of those effects could be expected to be inability to eat. Morphine would hardly help with that, would it?

On the other hand it did make Ralph Winstanley a pushover, when it came to the time to fill him up with Diamorphine, Haloperidol and Midazolam, following lies told to the on-call doctors service.

Dr David J Brown wrote in his Medical Record that Ralph Winstanley had been seen at Doncaster Royal Infirmary over the weekend (11 April 2004), for chest pain. On the other hand Ralph Winstanley had stated to both of this daughters at DRI that he had no pain. He made it obvious that he didn’t know why he was at DRI. His breathing had been OK. Not laboured. Nor was he gasping for breath. Having been keen to leave, since he arrived, he was discharged within three hours of arriving – with no treatment.

The fact that two of Dr David J Brown’s colleagues were instrumental in Ralph Winstanley’s death, since:

a Dr Jonathan Bundy was, (according to Dr Kevin Lee’s letter of 18th May 2004), involved in the prescribing of part of the drugs cocktail delivered - unusually - through two syringe-drivers, when Ralph Winstanley was perfectly capable of taking medication by mouth at the time, and continued to be capable even 24 hours after those drugs began to infiltrate his reasoning. Neither Dr Jonathan Bundy nor Dr Kevin Lee nor any other doctor, saw Ralph Winstanley, until the drugs cocktail had been going into him for over 24 hours. Dr Bundy works both at the Field Road Practice of Dr David J Brown and during his spare time he makes extra money at Danum Doctors Services Ltd, along with Dr Kevin Lee. I note that he is also a GP Representative on the Executive of Doncaster East PCT.

b Dr Rachel S Sykes, who was nominally in charge of Ralph Winstanley, though she didn’t turn up to see him until 24 hours after the first syringe- driver, containing Diamorphine and Haloperidol, was set up and running and Midazolam had already been injected into him – as he was also continued on Oramorph. When Ralph Winstanley tried, ineffectually in his already drugged state, to pull out the needles, it was Dr Sykes who upped the drug dosages, stating that he had ‘terminal agitation’.

Dr Rachel S Sykes also stated, several times and quite positively, to both of Ralph Winstanley’s own daughters, that he was dying of oesophageal and stomach cancer, as she continued with the treatment of Diamorphine, Haloperidol and Midazolam, which was still going into his body as he finally died.

Ten months later, we finally saw a copy of Ralph Winstanley’s Pathology Report, which showed that there had been nothing wrong with his oesophagus nor with his stomach.

The fact that this smart-arse doctor, Dr David J Brown, has refused over and over again to deal in a sensible or professional way with the concerned blood family of Ralph Winstanley, even initially, though as a family GP he is supposed to do this as a matter of course.

The fact that Dr David J Brown was – and still is - Caldicott Guardian for the very Trust, (Doncaster East Primary Care Trust), which held Ralph Winstanley’s Medical Records. He was thus in a position, both as his GP - with full control of the original records – and as the person entrusted by the PCT, to release Medical Records to the patient, (in this case concerned blood relatives of the deceased).

The fact that Dr Brown has allowed improperly presented records to be released. Because of missing documents which should be in those records, it is obvious that they have been tampered with, by someone. This act is illegal as was the release of those records, as stated in the Access to Health Records Act 1990. Dr David J Brown has been informed of this, as were the Chief Executives (all four of them) of Doncaster East and Doncaster Central Primary Care Trusts.

These are facts for which I have documentary proof, which I am willing to show to the entire Executive Committee.

Perhaps as the Executive Committee for a National Health Trust you are all happy to serve on a committee under this man’s Chairmanship? In that case, you are condoning his actions and are tarred with the same brush.

Perhaps you would consider that the life of each person is precious to that person.

Ralph Winstanley has been dead for 21 months. On the 25th January it would have been his birthday. Unless you do something positive to bring Dr David J Brown to account for his actions, you are no better than he is.

Unless a transparent, thorough, formal investigation is instigated, into what happened to Ralph Winstanley – and why it happened, you will be leaving every vulnerable patient in your area at risk – as they have certainly been for more than 21 months, since Ralph Winstanley was killed.

But perhaps the syringe is waiting just around the corner for you as well?

That is not a threat by me to you. I do not wield syringes.

I would prefer that in future it is not a threat to anyone else either.

What are you going to do to ensure that?

What possible interest would an undertaker have in a Coroner's Court?

He would either have been employed to dispose of the body - or not have been employed to dispose of it.

In either circumstance it is likely that he would not actually be doing business at the Court. Isn't it? For a start, it would be in extremely bad taste. Coffin chasing is not to everyone's liking after all.

However, there is one undertaker, who takes his business so seriously that he feels obliged to follow the Coroner's Court hearings - even when they take place quite a way from his home area.

Perhaps he's short of work? Certainly, in spite of having three undertaking emporia in the Doncaster area, he seems to have very few mentions in the 'funeral thanks' advertisements of the local papers. Perhaps, when he conducts funerals, people just don't feel like thanking him? Or perhaps he just does not conduct many funerals?

The 'cemetery dawn raid' in which my father was dropped into the ground at 7.30am is no recommendation of an undertaker.

With the Judicial Review already stamped and underway on the day before the second inquest, the surprise is that the secretive Paul Kelly (Coroner Number 2), saw fit to release my father's body at all. But perhaps that's the way they do things in Scunthorpe? Certainly Coroners visit each other's homes, when partial information is handed over. (Yes - since you ask - I have this in writing.) To return to the undertaker..

Perhaps he dumped my father at that time because he was very busy? I suppose we should feel lucky that it wasn't upside down at midnight at the crossroads?

Certainly our undertaker seems to have the free time to travel to inquests - even as far afield as Scunthorpe.

By now you will be wondering who this person is, who is so dedicated to inquests? No. Let me re-phrase that comment. This person is certainly dedicated to appearing at the inquests of Ralph Winstanley. I really do not know whether he puts in an appearance at other people's inquests, or whether he has any interest in burying other people at all.

His name is Richard Walker - though he is sometimes known as Stephen Walker.

However his friends will know him as the ex-mayor of Thorne Moorends and currently a rapidly rising Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Councillor. He seems to be popping up on numerous Committees - Licensing; Awards, Grants and Transport Appeals; Elections, Corporate and Finance; Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee/Healthier Communities and Vulnerable People; (now that one I do find interesting).

He is also a Freemason, as he proudly states on the Doncaster MBC web site. (see photograph and other information at http://www.doncaster.gov.uk/about/chamber/default.asp?Nav=Declaration&MemberID=249)

I wonder which other people in the Coroners' Courts might also be Freemasons?

And why would Richard Walker run off, from his position, planted, standing rather obviously at the back of the room at Scunthorpe Coroner's Court, when my sister noticed him and said she'd like a word?

He waved one of his arms above his head and as he left, shouted, "No, I'm not speaking to you".

Yet he had been transfixed by Mr Paul Kelly, Assistant Deputy Coroner. (Perhaps he is considering becoming a Coroner himself?)

How do I know what he shouted? Well, I was the other side of the Court room and I heard it.

You might wonder why my sister should recognise an undertaker. The reason is that he was also at the back of the room at Doncaster Coroner's Court, in May last year, when our father's inquest was first opened, by Stanley Hooper, HM Coroner, South Yorkshire East District.

My sister knows he was there because she was next to him at that Court. He's large - and a bit unmissable.

Also my father's offspring rather took exception to Stanley Hooper treating Richard Walker as an 'interested party', and sending him copies of letters in respect of my father.

Why would Richard Walker be treated in that way? Could it be that Brother Walker was in company of fellow brothers - possibly at both inquests into my father's death?

Or perhaps he was just getting impatient for his takaway body?

Pre Inquest what?

I went to see my father last Monday afternoon. You might wonder how I could do that, since he has been dead these 15 months - or more.

Dead, he might be but he is still not buried. The Coroners - yes two of them - have still not asked for adquate tests on my father's body, to establish just what was done to him before he died - to make him such a pushover to be killed.

So, I went to se him.

It was the day before his Pre Inquest Review, which took place in Scunthorpe.

That was an interesting day - the 27th July. the sort of day which draws the family closer. A time of wondering.

I wondered why Beachcroft Wandsbroughs, who keep sending me anonymous threatening letters, were there. They seemed to be representing three Trusts. (not that I'd trust any of them). The solitary man - with the very low voice - stated finally, that he was representing Doncaster East Primary Care Trust, Doncaster Central Primary Care Trust and Doncaster and South Humberside NHS Trust. So that was quite a large and diverse group of people.

I asked who exactly he was representing. He started to go throuogh it all again..but, rather than waste his time, I asked who amongst those people, he was actually representing. Was it the nurses who worked for the various Trusts? Or was it only the senior people within those Trusts? He didn't seem sure.

I had expected to see some representative of Bridge Sanderson Munro, in evidence to represent the interests of "Ralph Winstanley's General Practitoners", as the email which I had recieved from the Coroner's Office in Cleethorpes had informed me they would. However, they were not in evidence. Perhaps the fact that the 'writer of the email', Mrs Joanne Grady had already gone on Maternity leave, several days before the email was sent, in her name, could account for the information being factually incorrect?

There was a lady from the Medical Defence Union, Radcliffes LeBrasseur (there's posh!), representing - so I was informed - only two doctors. These were Dr David J Brown and Dr Rachel S Sykes. Neither was in evidence.

I had also been told that someone from solicitors, Parker Rhodes, would be there, representing 'Mrs Winstanley'. This, you understand, is a euphamism. There is no 'Mrs Winstanley'. Nor has there been for quite some time. So perhaps it's just as well that no one turned up to represent her - assuming she had ever existed.

I was not told, however, that South Yorkshire Police would be represented. But there was quite a turn out.

There was a police solicitor called Barrett - or bassett - I wasn't quite sure as he was not loud.
There was also an appearance from Detective Superintendent Robert Haworth, Senior (non)Investigating Officer, and from the former Detective Sergeant Andrea Norton, who has - so I understand - been promoted to Detective Inspector and also changed her name. They were on an away-day from Doncaster. (Had it been me, I certainly wouldn't have chosen Scunthorpe. It hasn't got any seaside.)

But the South Yorkshire piece de resistance was the man in uniform, from Humberside Police. I understand that he had been sent, at the request of South Yorkshire Police, because my family and I 'would cause trouble'.

He was good enough to tell us of his mission. So we have complained that since we have not, thus far, caused trouble, except by asking rather a lot of questions, which are well within the law, we do rather object to being cast in the role of 'troublemaker'.

As this horrible mess grinds on, I do wonder why Lewis Carrol died. I could have done with him. My situation - and that of my siblings - is very similar to that of Alice, when faced with the various vicissitudes, which puzzled and distressed her. I haven't yet met flamingoes being used for croquet - but it's only a matter of time.

My father is dead. I am not my father. I am alive. There are people who will regret these two facts.

Morality is a small, quiet word

So, off we went to meet the lovely Senior Investigating Officer (you understand, I use this term extremely loosely, since he has done absolutely nothing, by way of investigating - in over 14 months?)

I parked my dogs and car, in the torrential downpour.(about which more later), and went in to meet Detective Superintendent Robert Haworth and Detective Inspector Ray Turnbull, at Mexborough Police Station

My sister, (another Daughter of the Departed), had arranged to meet the police, since they had spent more than 14 months not arranging to see her and take her Statement..

Detective Superintendent (ah! I do like the importance of that title!) Robert Haworth, continued to tell us that his hands are tied, that Nina Anne Clayton, Rosemary and Frazer Cheesman and Dr David J Brown and Dr Rachel S Sykes and Dr Jonathan Bundy and Dr Wilson and Dr Gill Harding, Director of St John's Hospice, will not after all, have to answer questions as to why my father, Ralph Winstanley was put down, using the combined strangths of Doncaster East and Doncaster Central Primary Care Trusts. Well, they might not have to answer questions put to them by South Yorkshire Police Force, if that's the right phrase to use about the shambles which takes the money for policing in South Yorkshire, but they will certainly have to answer.

Detective Superintendent Robert Haworth claims that He is not allowed to investigate a murder - which this was - without the express instruction of HM Coroner?

We asked him about the corruption which surrounds this death. We asked who was responsible for the corruption which will not allow an entire police force to do its job? He did not answer. So now we know that murder is not a 'serious matter' in South Yorkshire

Does that mean that if some (obviously hypothetical) Coroner, ever wanted to murder someone, he could do it with impunity, and a very sharp knife, and South Yorkshire's Finest would do nothing? They say not! Really? Why are they taking our money then?

My car was sitting in an oveflowing puddle, when I left the police station, after two and a half hours. So it's not just the police who don't work. Their drains don't work either. Perhaps this is a fine example of consistency?

Remember, they are taking our money, claiming to be 'professionals' and fraudulently not doing the job for which we are paying them. For that matter, so is the South Yorkshire Police Authority - which is also not doing the overseeing job for which we are paying it.

Then there is HM Coroner Doncaster, who takes the money, into his own personal bank account, which unsuspecting members of the bereaved public are forced to pay, should they need to claim any documents, from the coroner, to do with an inquest of their loved one..

I understand that this man was appointed by Cllr Gordon Gallimore, Cllr Tommy Roebuck and a man called Cllr Grimson, (who, I understand, had been Mayor?), in 1990. Was that during Donnygate?

I will not speak - extensively - here about the shocking fraud played on the unaware public who ask for help from Doncaster East and Doncaster Central Primary Care Trusts. The members of their Boards take the money and - so it seems to me - couldn't care less about the old, the ill and the vulnerable members of the public whom they supposedly serve. They do not look at the fatal flaws in their stupid system, preferring instead, to build metaphorical brick walls, up to the skies, to keep out people who could help to keep the living live. But I will not speak of it here. It is reserved for another posting, where the names of its Chief Executives - all of them - will certainly be mentioned.

So there we have an entire Police Force, and its Police Authority, both of which ar prepared to do nothing; a Coroner who is prepared to deliberately sit on evidence so that it can be destroyed, altered, obscured; and so that murder is not investigated; a pair of Health Authorities which are populated by placemen, the inert and the corrupt - oh yes, and the people who constantly move on to a total lack of responsibility and a high pension, (may they and theirs rot in later life), and several people who should, were there any justice in this sad little corruption of a country, be sitting in jail as I write this.

But don't worry. We haven't given up yet. The main perpetrators are not still forever. They have to move about and they will have to face their deeds. Don't worry.

It will be done - one way or another - legally.

I am still not Ralph Winstanley. He is still dead. He was murdered. He lies in a freezer, in the Medico Legal Centre in Sheffield, whilst the new Coroner considers.

What is he considering, I wonder? Does he wonder who is selling which houses?

What - exactly - is going on here?

Hello. I'm glad you could drop in. I need to run a few ideas past you.

It is now more than two months since the new coroner, Mr Paul Kelly, Assistant Deputy Coroner for North Lincolnshire, took over the inquest of my father, Ralph Winstanley.

"Hooray!" I hear you say?

"Hooray!" indeed. So why has nothing yet moved?

Why have no statements been taken?

Why has no Coroner's Officer been charged with sorting out what happened?

Why has no police force been asked to make a criminal investigation?

What - exactly - is happening?

The short answer to that, seems to be, "Nothing!"
Now why would that be?

My father was definitely killed, in his bed, when he was not dying. It was done deliberately - and recorded by 'professional' 'nurses' and 'doctors'. It was done using the combined staff (42 visits - in a 6 day period) of Doncaster East and Doncaster Central Primary Care Trusts - amongst others.

It was commented on, one month after my father was killed, by a doctor who lied.

In this country, what happened counts as murder.. well it should count as murder.

However, in South Yorkshire, and possibly further afield, it seems that no-one cares about murder. Why would that be?

Who is pulling the strings?

There are mutterings of Catenians.. would they be Catenians? Or are they just common or garden Masons?

Certainly someone is getting in the way of justice.

With what motive? Is it money? Or revenge? Or drugs? Or possibly blackmail?

Whatever it is, it does not seem to be remotely connected to justice.

My father was a lifelong chaser of streetwalkers. Perhaps one of them has arrived at what she sees as an 'unassailable position'?

Be careful, from 'up' the only manoeuvre is 'down'. It could be a long, slippery slope.

However, it will end in jail.. no matter how long it takes.

What I'd like to run past you is this
"What carrot has to be dangled - and what stick swished - to get justice?"

I don't mind holding them both - and I'm certainly not letting them go.

Murderers to justice? - Oh, perish the thought!

Holding fast - where they're not retiring - South Yorkshire Police Force, (as it calls itself), is still refusing to recognise that where murders occur, they should be investigated and the murderers brought to justice.

Now why would that be?

Could it be that South Yorkshire Police Force agrees with murder?

Is it possible that South Yorkshire Police Force actually colludes with murder?

Of course, in writing 'South Yorkshire Police Force', I do not assume that it is no more than a malign force which works without human intervention.

I fully understand that South Yorkshire Police Force is composed of human beings. I would assume that many of them are not corrupt.

But what about the rest?

Did Detective Superintendent John Hudson agree with murder?

Did Chief Constable Mike Hedges also agree?

What about Chief Constable Meredydd Hughes, who served as Deputy Chief Constable under Chief Constable Mike Hedges?

I have heard recently, that South Yorkshire Police Force claims that it has only half the murders of other police forces, in this country. Why would that be?

Could it be that South Yorkshire Police Force is refusing to investigate murders?

That would certainly be one way of reducing the number of supposed murders in the South Yorkshire area. However, it would hardly be a truthful reduction, would it?

Perhaps South Yorkshire Police Force believes in magic! ie. Don't think 'murder' and there will be no murder?

But surely the senior officers of South Yorkshire Police Force are not so simple? Are they?

Another possibility is that South Yorkshire Police Force is just refusing to do its job. Would it really do that?

Otherwise, perhaps it just agrees with murder.

Of course, I should not keep calling South Yorkshire Police Force 'it'.

South Yorkshire Police Force is composed of individual human beings, or so I believe. Individual human beings who are - by my standards - very well paid for protecting the poor and the innocent and the ordinary people.

If those human beings, who are taking the money, are not investigating murders when they occur, what sort of culpability do they have, in respect of the crime?

Where it is locally known that South Yorkshire Police Force will not investigate certain murders, what effect would that have on those people who would like to commit a murder, in the local area?

Would they be more likely to commit a murder - or less likely?

I do wonder.

If they would be more likely to commit a murder, who, within South Yorkshire Police Force would be culpable?

Would it be all - or any of - the Police Constables - or would it be the Chief Constable?

There will be more in this space, shortly, about why murders are not being adequately investigated, in what is supposedly a civilised country. Mention will be made of Donnygate.

This is about Doncaster East and Doncaster Central Primary Care Trusts.

They seem to be leaking. They've leaked two Chief Executives.. in very short order. Wonder why?

They're leaking lots of money..unless Beachcroft Wandsboroughs is not charging them to look at this web site regularly. Now I am aware that pigs can fly.. but really! That is too much!

However, it seems that the cover-up gathers pace....Little Mrs Boswell (is she related to Boswell of the diaries, I wonder? Does she make things up? )..

Well, it is terribly difficult for her. Landed in it, as she seems to have been. (even if she does get loads of dosh). But there. She does have the little ones to feed after all..so if there 's a cover-up,well.. what can she do? Poor little woman. Not enough intellect to see how destructive her attitude is. Not enough nous to work out that 'honesty might well be the best policy'.

Now murder.. that's an interesting concept! Alien to a Primary Care Trust, of course.. but interesting.

Is the person at Beachcroft Wandsbroughs paid well? I don't mean the person who is charging for this watching brief. I mean the person who actually has the job of checking this site every day. . if that is what they do..

I imagine the person who actually does the checking to be small.. possibly bird-like.. with holes in their socks.. and definitely of English, lower class origin.. whatever that is, these days.

On the other hand, I imagine the person who gives the order, to be .. well.. what, exactly? Probably a rank (and by 'rank' I do mean stinking) social climber, with aspirations above the sensibilities of those at the plateau to which he/she would like to climb. I see it as a sad and barren life, which tries to oversee and comprehend the actuality of human class. But perhaps I'm wrong? Who can tell.? Perhaps this overseeing person works for altruism..and not money? I don't see that as likely though. But perhaps I'm wrong?

To get back to Doncaster East and Doncaster Central Primary Care Trusts. (Pity not to allow the bird-like, down-at-heel person, the opportunity to earn an 'honest' crust). They seem to have, at their head, people who have no consideration for the poor 'worker ants' who slave regularly in the 'service of humanity'. They seem to have overseers who, caring little for ordinary caring workers, are prepared to plunge them into a murderous shambles, not of their own making

Whatever happened to the union? You know the one. The union which prevented its workers from being unjustly drawn into mistakes not of their making. It also looked out for workers unjustly drawn into such terrible things as murders. Whatever happened to the Union? Is there one at Beachcroft Whatsername .. or at either PCT?

It seems to have been replaced by 'big brother'.. whoever he is. Perhaps Beachcroft and Whatsername (assuming they exist), could, together with Simon Morritt, Jayne Brown, Christine Boswell, Ann Ballarini, Mike Hedges, Meredith Hughes and ES Hooper, tell the rest of we poor benighted people what exactly is going on?

I will look forward to it.

My father is still dead. He was still put down when he wasn't dying and was not asking to die. This was murder..unless you know a better word for it?

So many people seem to be 'in it up to their necks', that it is surprising that there is anything left with which to drown them. However, I have every confidence that it can be done.

Did the woman come back from her cruise?

It seems she did. How do I know?

Oh, yes, that's easy. I know because of the phone call. It was made to my sister..well, not quite.

It was made to my sister's telephone. When her grandaughter answered, a woman's voice asked for my sister's husband, by his first name.

The woman stated, I am a friend of your late father-in-law. If you don't stop this.. Then she slammed the phone down

She didn't leave her name. Does that count as anonymous?

Not terribly anonymous. After all, how many people, who might have been a friend of my sister's husband's late father-in-law, actually know the first name of my sister's husband? (Keep up. Keep up. Are you following this?)

Only a handful, I would think. So who made the call? We'll be able to check the voice sometime.

So, that should be interesting.

I suppose the cruise must be over.

Does that mean that the widow is working on making up a Christmas funeral? Well, I do hear it's possible. Of course what I hear, could be wrong.. as could the other information about the inquest.

How would I know? I am but a poor simple elder daughter of Ralph Winstanley. How would I know?

I do hear that there is a mention of Penningtons; Martin Pennington, The Litigator, and his elder brother, Paul Pennington, The Director, Secretary and Litigator, this Sunday, 5th December, 2004, on The Politics Show, BBC1. It's on, so I'm told at around 12 noon. That could be wrong, of course. I am never quite certain of the information I get. Life's a yo-yo.

What do you think? He certainly wasn't drinking much. He seemed willing to smile - but disinterested in life.

This is the content of the flyer which has now been spread in Moss, Askern, Thorne, Mexborough, extensively in Doncaster Town Centre - and at Wath-upon-Dearne, where he was born and will be buried.
Ralph Winstanley was 83 years old when he died on 23.04.04. Just before he died, he was given a travel sickness drug, even though he had been drugged unconscious for 90 hours and wasn’t stirring. Did they give him the drug for the ride to the Coroner, after his death, so he didn’t get travel sick?
His GP, Dr David J Brown of Field Road Surgery, Stainforth, wrote a letter to Mr
J Goodwin, solicitor, of Bridge Sanderson Munro, saying Ralph Winstanley’s "chest and epigastric pain.. was found to be due to cancer growing around his lower oesophagus and stomach."
THIS DOESN’T SEEM TO HAVE BEEN TRUE.

Dr Rachel S Sykes of the same practice, seemed to be perfectly happy to see him nursed with no line for food nor fluid, in the April heatwave. Not much hope of him staying alive then, was there?
NINA CLAYTON kept telling the nurses that he was being sick and fetching up blood. Her daughter, Rosemary Cheesman, agreed.
THAT WASN’T TRUE EITHER.

I was there. He wasn’t even trying to be sick. I said so. NO ONE would listen.
HE DIED.

A written Report, from Doncaster Royal Infirmary,following a biopsy on his lower oesophagus and stomach, stated that there was no growth and "no malignancy".

Dr David J Brown is denying my father’s blood relatives access to my father’s full Medical Record. WHAT HAS HE GOT TO HIDE?

Does someone know? Perhaps in that case, they could tell me?
Doncaster East Primary Care Trust is also denying us access to my father’s full Medical Record. WHAT IS THE TRUST TRYING TO HIDE?
I don’t trust it, nor it’s inconsiderate employees. Of course, the considerate employees I do trust.. well more or less. I only come to Doncaster when I’m feeling well.
I consider the Trust actions to be both against the spirit of the Access to Health Records Act 1990 and to be ILLEGAL.
Because I am pointing this out, I have received threatening letters, sent by Simon Morritt, Chief Executive Doncaster Central PCT,via the Trusts’ fat-cat lawyers, Beechcroft Wandsbroughs of Leeds. The letter writer was anonymous. YOUR HEALTH MONEY IS BEING SPENT TO PAY FOR THIS. It hardly counts as a Health matter, does it? Oh yes, they shut down my personal web site as well, by threatening the server.
Dr David J Brown, GP, sits on Doncaster East PCT’s main Committee. He is also its CALDICOTT GUARDIAN. It’s a well-paid job with the purpose of sitting on the Medical Records and refusing to release them. This is the same Dr David J Brown who was my father’s GP, until my father’s unfortunate death. The CONFLICT OF INTEREST is
obvious. Doncaster East PCT is aware of it.. and is doing nothing to stop it.

WHAT HAPPENED TO RALPH WINSTANLEY?
Over the last 14 or 16 years, something extremely nasty seems to have happened to my father, Ralph Winstanley. HE WAS A MILLIONAIRE WHEN HE RETIRED. His ‘widow’ tells us he was destitute when he died.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT WAS THE CHAIN OF EVENTS WHICH LED TO THIS?
His ‘widow’ NINA CLAYTON, refuses to tell me. She jeered and laughed IN FRONT OF ME AND MY SISTER, as he died, at Grange Farm, Pinfold Lane, Moss, Doncaster.
His Litigation solicitors, Frank Allen Pennington, in the person of Mr Martin and Mr Paul Pennington, refuse to tell me. HOW WERE THEY BEING PAID, IF HE WAS DESTITUTE? They are still ‘litigating’, to do with my father’s estate, which we are told, doesn’t exist.. BUT FOR WHOM are they in litigation? WHO PAYS THEM?
His former accountants, W H PRIOR, in the person of Mr Ian Prior, refuse to tell me. Perhaps they know nothing? They certainly appeared in Court, at the side of Martin Pennington, THE LITIGATOR, only a few years ago, in respect of my father.
Then there are, THE BOYS IN BLUE. Well of course they would be helpful, wouldn’t they? Not so far. OVER FOUR MONTHS SINCE MY FATHER DIED, they are refusing to investigate the strange chain of events, which seem to have stripped him naked, and left him destitute before he died. Why would they refuse to investigate? It seems a bit strange. HAS DONCASTER TURNED INTO THE WILD WEST?
Over and over again they tell me, and write to me, to say they can’t do a thing. (do look at the web site. www.ralphwinstanleyofwath.blogspot.com Some of their many comments are up there). Their hands, they say, are tied. HM Coroner hasn’t asked them to do anything .. and until he does they won’t do anything. Good to know that we are all safe in our beds with THE BOYS IN BLUE of South Yorkshire Police Force, to protect us, isn’t it?
HOW DO PEOPLE SOLVE CRIMES THEN?

Do YOU know what happened to Ralph Winstanley? His ‘will’ is an hilarious document. Curiously, it was re-made on 17th February this year. It seems that his affairs were taken over by someone else.
WHO DID IT? HOW DID THEY DO IT?

Certainly the mother of his four children, who had divorced him for adultery, was, SINCE 2001, having her alimony payments made from an account marked N A CLAYTON.

WHY WOULD THIS BE? Kindness of heart? No. Let’s not get into the realms of fantasy. My father’s name was RALPH WINSTANLEY, not N A CLAYTON.

CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FATHER?

We, his family, think that his affairs were taken off him early in 1991. Now who would do such a thing?

AND WHY?

His PASSPORT was taken off him.

His financial affairs seem not to have been returned to him – ever. Yet he wasn’t mad. He hadn’t ‘lost his marbles’ either. However he was already looking ‘a bit spaced out’ on his birthday, 3 years ago. I WONDER WHY THAT WAS? Illegal drugs? Medication? Your guess is as good as mine.
NINA CLAYTON took my father to Doncaster County Court on 25th February, 1991, for a Restraining Order and Financial Relief. He was unrepresented. WAS HE EVEN THERE? Perhaps he was still in Tenerife? JUDGE STOCKEN will not allow my father’s blood relatives access to the COURT RECORD – which should surely be in the public domain – so that we can find out what happened. I WONDER WHY?

Why did they get rid of me?
Well, that's an interesting question. How long's a length of string?

I knew what I was getting into. It was what I wanted. Sex on tap. She was famous round here. Dear Herbert letter. Daughters. Rows of 'em. Absolute rows of 'em.

It all began when she married im. Droppin sprogs any day. Both died. One later than the other. Not so much as an eadstone. Nuthin.

Then there was the 'Dear Herbert' letter, (about which, more later). Noboddy much. Whiskery old fool. Useful though.

But I'll say this to my daughters: (apologies to Rydyard Kipling)

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are telling lies and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all about you,

Perhaps he was in the way?

Ralph Winstanley was an old man. He was becoming a bit frail. He had been given Chemotherapy from the 5th to the 10/11th April. He was trying to recover.

He thought he was being helped to recover.

In his fuddled state, after 4-hourly-doses of Oramorph, which had already been going on since the 14th April, he was a bit of a pushover, by the 18th April.
